Lee Hyori’s 3rd album dominates both offline and online album sales

Lee Hyori’s 3rd solo album on 15th July “It’s Hyorish” has been proven to be popular both online and offline.

Her album was released online on 14th and offline on 15th July.

Her 3rd album won the number 1 spot for offline album sales volume on real-time daily chart on 17th July. Also, the MV for her title song “U-Go-Girl” was also number 1 on online music sites like Mnet.com, Cyworld, Bugs, JukeOn etc.

The MV which was released on 16th July, received 45,000 clicks in less than 24 hours.

Meanwhile, Lee Hyori is set to appear on Comeback stage on 18th July on KBS 2TV “Music Bank” starting her promoting activities.

Kim Jong Wook and Solbi’s duet “I Wish To You” is a big hit on Cyworld

Kim Jong Wook and Solbi’s collaboration “I wish to you” has been a popular hit on Cyworld ever since its release. “I Wish To You” is a remake of “Way Back To Love” from the Hollywood movie “Music And Lyrics”.

The song is at number 4th position on Cyworld chart together with other upcoming hits like Lee Hyori’s “U Go Girl” and Davichi’s “Love and War”.

Especially when Lee Hyori, Davichi and Kim Jong Wook who are all from the same company label, this is going to get more interesting.

New boyband U-Kiss to debut in August

A new 6-member boyband U-Kiss is set to debut in end-August, targeting not just the Korea market but also the Asia market.

The members of U-Kiss come from America, Macau and China etc, and they can  speak 4 languages – english, mandarine, japanese and korean . Their age range is from 15 years old to 19 years old, and will be debuting with the title song “We are not young” as a teenage idol global group.

U-Kiss is under the same company as Yang Dong Geun and Paran NH Media. And they are planned to participate in Japan’s “Power of Atamix 08″ performance. Their fan cafes also attracted about 50,000 visitors to their sites in just 2 days after they were established.

There are still many details that the company has yet to reveal about this upcoming group, leaving fans curious and anxious for more information. It is planned that the company will reveal more about U-Kiss only at a later time.

Meanwhile, U-Kiss will be having activities even before debut. On 27th July, they will be in Japan Tokyo for their first showcase, and on 15th August, they will be performing together with other stars like Paran, SS501, Wheesung and Shin Seung Hoon in Osaka.

Clazziquai Horan prefers group activities to solo activities

Group Clazziquai female vocal Horan revealed, “A solo album will not hinder on the group’s activities.”

Recently Horan came together with Go Jung and Justin Kim to form Ibadi, an acoustic project band.

And on 17th July, Ibadi appeared on SunnyFM’s “Freestyle’s happy friend – Hello star” and said, “Ibadi is very much influenced by Ani Difranco. The reason why we came together to do this project band is because we have same interests in the music we like.”

A question was posed to Horan regarding her solo activities like her co-member Alex who came out with his solo album last month, she had answered, “I feel that coming out with solo album will not stop the groups activities. But for myself, I would prefer to go on group activities rather than solo activities.”

Cheon Sang Ji Hee to sing for Japanese bestseller theme song

Cheon Sang Ji Hee The Grace who has been promoting in Japan is asked to sing for the theme song for the drama and movie of bestseller “Homeless Junior Highschooler”.

“Homeless Junior Highschooler” is the autobiography of gagman Damura Hirushi of his school time experience and after it was published last year, it became a bestseller with a total of 2.22 million copies sold. The drama to the book is being showed on Fuji TV and it is planned that the movie version will come out on 25th October.

Cheon Sang Ji Hee is planned to start recording for the song “Here” with hip hop group Cliff’s Edge in autumn.
