So Nyeo Shi Dae members Jessica and Tiffany recently appeared on Arirang channel ‘Pop In Seoul – In the Booth with’ corner with SM Town senior Isak .
Like Isak, Jessica and Tiffany are both from high schools abroad, and the 3 had conversed in fluent English on the show.
On this episode, Jessica and Tiffany had introduced their new album, talked about episodes with other So Nyeo Shi Dae member and also answered questions posed by fans.
Tiffany said, “Until now, it is still more comfortable to use English as compared to Korean. On top of that, I still use English for counting.”
And when asked who her ideal type is, Tiffany‘s answer was, “Novel ‘Twilight’ main character Edward Cullen.” Jessica, “Actor Daniel Henney”
Jessica also talk about ‘Sica effect’ that was coined lately. ‘Sica effect’ is one that fans give when Jessica would suddenly become quiet and the whole atmosphere will become cold and chilly.

for some weird reason.. this made me like tiffany a bit more than usual. (because i was never a tiffany fan) her english made her seem so laid back and cool… maybe it’s just me..
Well it’s kind of apparent to me that they did surgery, I can’t tell if ALL of them had it, but the most obvious has got to be Sunny. Tiffany’s not the only airhead, a few of the rest are too, a few of them are pretty decent, but overall they don’t have a very good image at all. IMO, SM’s he’s targeting the wrong audience and marketing the girls too… *sigh*
They did do a lot of things that makes them have their antis. Don’t hate antis, it makes fans sound even more immature. If you want to hate, hate with a sound reason.
i hope nothing big happens at the hb idgaf about what people think about snds i see the most hated one is taeyeon tiffany and jessica but dont target all of them like sooyoung, yuri and seohyun ! some of them are actually smart and normal geeez.. there english is goood and yes tiffanys dumb but can you blame her shes not use to korea. shes cute and has a bubbly personality did snds have surgery !? Obviously, hongley was speaking the truth. They were rude to the producers when they went on manwon happiness, dumping fans’ letters ignoring fans etc. It’s a well-known fact.
Im NEUTRAL towards them . But the fact that you people are blindly scolding and saying that these news are fabricated or made worse by anti fans is plain stupid and rude because there are evidence, articles to show what they have said or done ok, google, if you hadn’t realised the power of googling.
Pls, don’t give the excuse that Tiffany had stayed in america before etc, I dare that being RUDE to seniors ESPECIALLY when you are in Korea, a place which seniority plays a big part/making fun of people’s name is definitely not something that is acceptable, even in America. If it’s Korea that they are breaking into obviously, they would have to adapt to Korea’s culture. Its definitely inarguable.
Plus, if they are that good, they wouldn’t be anti-ed by dbsk’s, suju’s, ss501′s fans at dream concert.
It’s fancam-ed, you can search for related videos too, however no point searching for the video which the offical tv site that broadcasted the concert because they EDITED FANS CHEERING FOR THEM IN, simply hiding the fact that they were boo-ed by other groups’ fans.
There are pictures of them throwing away fans’ letters too etc…

Personally the first impression I got from Tiffany and Jessica is that they are nice and it’s so refreshing to hear Koreans speak fluent english (well since they grew up in the US so there).
I just noticed SNSD with their song Gee. so whatever people had said beforehand I didn’t know about it, though I heard Taeyeon’s remark about the nurse. I think the mistake was that she shouldn’t have said that on air. that’s it.
Hope we put these pros and cons of SNSD to rest now. I felt I started it, and it’s purely inappropriate here on sookyeong’s blog.
P.S. those girls have great taste. Daniel Henney and Edward Cullen are really hot. ^^
i think jessica’s accent is a bit more refined, cause tiffany pronounces some words like “think” as “theenk,” but in still in an American-ish way. Also, tiffany says a lot more “like” and “well, i think” so it SOUNDS like she’s more of an airhead…
like at 6.22 of the first part you can hear tiffany say “lenguages” instead of “languages.” nothing wrong with that, a lot of native speakers say the same thing cause everyone pronounces words slightly differently, but you’ll notice that jessica doesn’t do that, hers are a lot more proper. so i like jessica’s english a lot more, too XD
tiffany does have a lot of bad press. some due to jealousy, some due to the fact that she DOES have a relatively big mouth. she likes the limelight, so she talks a lot, and when you talk a lot, you’re bound to make mistakes. i agree that anti-fans and netizens twist things around a lot, but there are some mistakes that the girls have made that they really should have been more careful of.
okay, so the mistakes they made at the beginning, i think we should pretty much just let go – they were new, they made some wrong calls, they tried to be funny and it didn’t work – yadda yadda. but some of the mistakes they make NOW – i.e. taeyeon and the whole hospital thing – you’d think that they learned their lessons and would be more careful now.
yeah, I like jessica’s english better,
but wht I like about their english is that they havent adapted to the korean accent but some korean-american stars, when they talk in english they have caught on to some of the korean accent like, Nicole from KARA
i miss isak i heard from carlos[uptown] interview that she has an album ready or atleast ready to go solo but she cant because of the racism towards her being half. so basically she’s stuck hosting shows and still gets discriminated against cuz of her mix
o btw the sica effect isnt where jessica gets silent.. its where she trys to say something, add a comment, or try to be funny, but then suddenly the mood goes down (from being all up) and it gets silent

I started out to dislike Tiffany because she was rude, but to think about it, we are all rude in a way. She’s actually nice and has a bubbly character. And I got to see herself more. She’s not a fake person as it seems, because what she say are her own opinions and such. But anti-fans don’t give a chance to them and always post rumours up. Seriously, just close your mouth if you hate them.
Anyways, I love Isak. She’s so cool.
Tiffany is a very bubbly person, she’s frank and humorous, but sometimes her humor is just so inappropriate.. she’s not type in the group but her extensive talking makes me annoyed.
Tiffany is so confident in speaking while Jessica is reserved that’s why you hear her less.

i would say the same thing applies to SNSD.
i don’t think anyone would spoil their own futures that they trained for so many years for by saying what these anti-fans proclaim they said.
and i do admit that sometimes the girls can be a bit immature ( ex: taeyeon and her ordeal with the nurse)but that is natural as they are still growing up and maturing along the way.
anti-fans definitely blow things out of proportion.
Besides, SM entertainment is known to be very very strict when it comes to the celebrity’s image.
everything is regulated, from what kind of friends they make, what they can say on variety shows, who should talk when awkward situations arise.
i remember DBSK once saying that because jaejoong doesn’t think before he talks, he wasn’t allowed on variety shows as much as the other members nor was he allowed to talk as much during interviews.
i wanted to get this off my chest for a while.
anti-fans ALWAYS ALWAYS interpret things in the worst way if they happen to not like the celebrity.
sure, the celebs must have said something, but most definitely anti-fans will have taken it out of context and twisted the words, so that it becomes so much worse.
there’s also the fact that because tiffany is more accustomed to american culture, jokes and certain behaviors that are accepted here are not accepted in korea.
not to mention that fans are 99% girls, so jealousy plays a huge factor especially since SNSD is from SM Entertainment, and that’s where DBSK, Super Junior, and SHINee belong too.
