Sometime back during their fanmeeting, there was also the talk about SoHee trying sexy too hard.
And also her recent Numero photoshoot
While a small portion of the netizens thought she looked cute here. Many were unhappy with the kind of image JYP is putting her up on stage.
Some of the comments were, “She is still a child”, “I can’t believe I’m seeing such a post here talking about this, children are also reading this”, “JYP is really crossing the line about putting the sexy image on her and making her do Beyonce. She is still a high school student; she had look so cool in the TBJ photoshoot”, “We can’t blame her for doing this image because sexy image is the concept for WonderGirls now, she can do nothing but follow”.
I don’t know. I’m confused because SoHee gives a real confusing image to me.

i miss the wondergirls so much that my least favorite member, sohee, is not even getting on my nerves one bit. even though her performance was horrible i will not complain because that is how much i miss them.

i think JYP should think things over, he has three other older girls that can flaunt it and be sexy. Stardom already makes young stars grow up quicker, why rush Sohee even more?

i think she is overbaring it, to be honest. i mean, its okay i guess but its happening too fast. as a teen maturing, her mind probably thinks she is ready and so she’ll think shes ready to tackle the sexy image but the majority of the world (fan-wise) isnt ready. i say majority because i cant speak for all (obviously). so basically, its happening wayy too fast in such a short period of time. (sorta like big bang’s maknae: seungri). but it’ll soak in overtime so it isnt really a BIG problem

i love wonder girls, & i also love sohee because to me she seems like an awkward little girl tryna find her place in the world & performers’ arena…

she must be a role model for younger kids whether she likes it or not so she & JYP reps should be careful & considerate about these issues when they project her (as well as other wonder girls) image.

even though sohee’s my least favorite member, she doesnt seem to annoy me that much cause im suffering from wondergirls withdrawal just like ’supp’ haha. i don’t think this performance was JYP’s idea. if you’re a wonderful like me you probably know that sohee is a big beyonce fangirl. i believe she chose to do her solo to a beyonce song just like she did during their 2nd fanmeeting. however, JYP does come up with the girls’ concept so i guess you could kind of blame him. but then again i think all the girls suit all the concepts he’s had for them so far so its all good. anyways i think sohee just wanted to pay tribute to her idol. although it wasn’t all that great hehe i don’t think she’s overdoing it. i mean come on i’ve met younger and sluttier girls lol pardon my french (: in my opinion, sohee doesn’t act cute on purpose like she’s putting on a front or something. people perceive her that way because she’s just naturally cute, she doesn’t even have to try. i think she just wanted to show people another side of her. she might look cute on the outside but she’s actually mature. give the girl a break. she just wanted to have fun and entertain the audience.

Yeah, JYP needs to tone it down with her. He’s trying too hard to be an American, and this “sexy” image is really popular over here. The only thing is, JYP, people who do this ARE NOT HIGH SCHOOL KIDS. Beyonce: married, 25 or 26, I believe. Britney Spears: 27. Even Lady Gaga is 22. There’s a difference between American artists doing this and Sohee doing this and it’s mainly the age factor.

Well i think SoHee is very comfortable doing the sexy route (even for they’re first fan meeting when they were still new, SoHee did a pretty sexy dance). If shes comfortable with it, i see no problem, i think Sohee feels confident dancing than singing which is why she try’s hard.
Also with the Numero shots, that’s 100% not SoHee’s fault, its the stylist for that magazine, they had a certain image they wanted her to portray (i dunno, its look awkward/sexxy/nerd image maybe…) and as a professional Sohee did so.
She looks like she’s doing the single ladies dance in one of the pictures ._.
I think they have a say in what they want to do for their solo stage. I doubt that JYP says Sohee you are going to do Beyonce, it’s probably more like she suggested it, and then he approved. Most singers do the artist’s that they like or admire for their solo stage.

I can’t believe she gets all this media attention. I hated her pics of the Numero photoshoot. Is she doing this to make her look cool or showing off she can be older than her actual age? Even SunMi unnie doesn’t do this stuff. I think she should stick to her “cute” image because being “sexy” isn’t her thing. She also needs to start talking in interviews and laughing and actually smiling, because she’s kinda giving herself a bad image. I know they may feel pressured to do this, but they should actually prove to the people they are wrong to say and do what JYP wants them to do.
