Big Bang Japanese single release event ended after just 5 minutes in front of 2000 fans
An event for the release of Big Bang’s Japanese major first single ‘My Heaven’ was ended abruptly after 5 minutes in front of 2000 fans. They were at Tokyo Venus port church compound for the single release event on 24th June but 2,000 fans turned when the compound can only accommodate for 400 fans.
So in the end, for safety purpose, the event was called off after 5 minutes. This was described as ‘big panick’ by local newspaper, and the boys’ popularity in Japan can be clearly seen from this event.
The event was meant to start at 5.30pm but from early morning, there has been fans waiting at the venue.
After the event having to be called off after 5 minutes, Big Bang members did a short interview in their rest room. TaeYang said, “We are really sorry for fans who waited.” GDragon said, “It is a pity for this event. We promise that there will be other opportunities to meet.” SeungRi also said, “We were still thinking about how to carry out the event well.”
The boys’ Japanese debut song ‘My Heaven’ went to #4 on Oricon chart on the day it is released, and they will also be releasing a 2nd single ‘Gara Gara GO’ on 8th July.
Where will So Nyeo Shi Dae be in 10 years?
So Nyeo Shi Dae members did an interview recently, and they were asked the question ‘Where do you picture yourself 10 years down the road?’. And the answers ranged from ‘married lady’ till ‘advancing in America’.

SNSD nor SM ever said anything about advancing into America. Tiffany simply said that she would like to be able to sing in America.
These are all just dreams for the future and 10 years is quite a long time.
I do not think SNSD will ever advance to the american market. American girl groups have a hard time succeeding here and if they even have mediocre success they rarely have staying power. Also most of the people in the states wouldn’t be too keen on the idea of a 9-member girl group singing pop music and would have a field day making fun of the group. The wonder girls may have a slim chance (very slim imho) only because they have the right people backing them and are targeting the tween population plus they are a 5-member group which is an idea that people are familiar with. 9- girl groups are too gimmicky even for the tweens. Super Junior for the same reason as SNSD would most likely never advance to the American market. DBSK does have the vocals but none of them (including Micky) speak much english and the boy band genre in the states is a dying breed that was only popular in the 90s to early 2000s but has died since then.
as much as I love WG, I don’t hv high expectation for their U.S debut since BoA and Se7en still nowhere in states. (I feel pity for Se7en. where’s he now? he spent two years for U.S debut but after release 1 single he just disappear ). but I already proud of them to able achieve this far and BoA too. Boa got invitations a few radio shows and will perform various place. I think that’s good.
