Dong Bang Shin Ki, “Disbanding? Just groundless rumours”
There has been rumours that group Dong Bang Shin Ki is disbanding.
Curiosity rose as the group’s schedule to film for ’2009 Summer SMTown’ jacket on 25th June was called off. This had made fans even more curious why so especially with rumours about the group disbanding coming up recently.
With that SM Entertainment cleared in a phone interview on 26th, “This is just rumours. Like the past, such rumours came up and there were all groundless. This time this is the same thing.” emphasising that rumours about the group disbanding back in year 2004 and 2006 were all groundless.
The representative said, “Dong Bang Shin Ki had left Korea on 26th June for their performance in Thailand.”
Meanwhile, Dong Bang Shin Ki recently started on their Japanese tour concert in May. And coming 4th and 5th July they will be having a large-scale concert performance in Tokyo Dome.
Big Bang TaeYang and TOP new song ‘Friend’ to be OST to drama ‘Friend’
Big Bang members TOP and TaeYang’s new song ‘Friend’ will be the OST song to upcoming MBC drama ‘Friend’.
On the 26th, YG Entertainment revealed that Big Bang TOP and TaeYang’s new song ‘Friend’ will be revealed through the 1st episode of MBC drama ‘Friend, our legend’ to be aired on 27th June.
The song ‘Friend’ is composed by TOP and Teddy, and TOP has also written the lyrics to the song personally.
The drama ‘Friend’ is the drama version to famous movie ‘Friend’.

I agree that it’s a little too much of the songs they’re releasing nowadays but i can’t help to love it. I hope they have more variety as we saw with their stand up album. In the meantime, i’ll continue listening to these two songs.
I was wondering, is top and taeyang’s song like one of the main ost songs? seems like it and that just makes me happy because i liked the movie even if i could only watch snippets of it. My dad was like.. “TOO BAD! YOU SHOULDN’T WATCH IT YET! TOO YOUNG!”

am i the only one who find the Friend song so-so? it sounds too mainstream to me. i much prefer My Heaven and Emotion!! and i rather TOP composed something like A Good Man which i LOVE. that aside, i’m not complaining when there’s more BB news!
and DBSK cannot disband! SM should know better than to disband DBSK like what they did to Shinhwa.
I would hate it with DBSG disband. They were the reason I’m here, listening to k-pop at the moment. At the same time, why would they disband when they are the reigning across Asia? They are at a high time in their career and they are not ready to put that down.

Although I’m not a Big Bang fan anymore… there’s actually quite a few. I don’t think Big Bang fans actually made an actual international forum, but they still do have a lot of fans outside. Big Bang are really popular because of their catchy songs.
I wouldn’t compete with SNSD/DBSK/Suju forums since they have the largest international fan-bases.
Dear, us Big Bang fans don’t usually reside in forums like soompi, too tedious sometimes…like for me.

i think that bigbang fans are general older compared to other idol fans, so they’d be going to WORK instead of spazzing on forums.
and like myself, a lot are males – and males dont really freak over a boyband.
i like them for their music.

compared to smtown’s fans, yg fans are not exactly as obsessive. We don’t make 1000 comments on how good they look in a photo. The only ever time big bang’s fans freak together is when they release a korean album/minialbum/mv stuff like that. Otherwise, we’re a quiet bunch. I used to wonder why that was so and i just grew to ignore it.
When big bang was active things weren’t as quiet, mind you.
as an international fan or someone who isn’t so clouded by image, if these groups were to go overseas, big bang would probably have a chance but not snsd and suju. I get defensive when people call big bang “suckers” on such a groundless argument. Maybe i’m reading into this wrong but this reply sort of irks me.
uhm. as much as we (IVIPz) LOVE BIG BANG, we do have life outside of KPOP. and besides BIG BANG is not active in KPOP so far. don’t worry, when BB come back to Korea, you’ll hear more from us. we don’t need to be all crazy on forums and fansites to show our support for BB.

Please don’t try to start a fan war here. Is it even right to compare groups that have been around LONGER (not sure about SNSD) than BB? Does that mean that they achieved something close to what does groups have in a shorter period of time?
I say let all the fans enjoy all the groups. Just coz your a fan of the other doesn’t mean you can’t like another group. Number of fans shouldn’t be based by the number of threads they have coz some fans prefer not to comment on threads.
