On August 29th, 2NE1 had appeared on “Kim JungEun’s Chocolate” for the third part of the Summer Festival Standing Concert.

On this episode of “Kim JungEun’s Chocolate,” 2NE1 performed a sort of “dedication” performance. Each member in 2NE1 chose a role model that helped them in the direction of being a singer / star and had dedicated a performance to them.
CL showed off her rap abilities by choosing Lauryn Hill, Sandara Park chose Jennifer Lopez, Park Bom chose Beyonce and showed off her sexy dancing and singing. Gong MinJi, famous for her dancing, chose the famousJustin Timberlakeand showed off an elaborate performance.
So far, JunJin, and Lee MinWoo (M) had portrayed Justin Timberlake, and this was one of the rare stages that a girl will be portraying him.
2NE1 will also performed the hit songs “Fire” and “I don’t care”. It is said that they ended the performances cool-y with water falling down on them while singing the song “Fire”. The fans commented that the stages showed off a special side of each of the members.
Here is what they each said about their influence:
- CL : This was a song that my dad had made me listen to since I was little so I naturally got the influence from it
- Dara : I liked Jennifer Lopez’s music and her style so she naturally became my role model as I sang along with her music
- Bom : You don’t even how much I listened to Mariah Carey and Beyonce while I was in America studying. I started buliding my dreams as a signer through them
- MinJi : For a person like me who like to dance, Michael Jackson and Justin Timberlake are my greatest role models. I’m sad that Michael Jackson had to leave the world.
Ji Youn : I loved the performances! Wooo~ 2NE1!

those who are saying that minzy is dancing like at a strip club have got it all wrong. that’s nothing compared to the wiggle crap that really happens at a strip club. minzy is a dancer and that was tame.
I agree. though Minji’s moves are what some might say too sexy for her age, it’s nothing alike a strip club dance. she’s only shaking that nice butt of hers a bit too much /pedovibes

thought CLs performance was good, but the other girls need to work on it a bit more. we know dara’s weak with her vocals, bommies not that great when shes dancing and singing at the same time, and didnt like the fact that minji’s dancing was around 70% floor work. eh.. they have a lot of room for improvement, but im sure theyll keep surprising us.

CL is probably the most talented person in the group. Her solo performance was pretty solid, except for her singing. She didn’t support her voice enough and lost power near the end of her lines, she’ll end up hurting her vocal cords that way. too much vibrato and not enough space or support.
Dara suprised me. I mean you can’t compare her to J.Lo, but her pronunciation was very nice.
Bom…..she needs to train more. Girl does not have lung capacity, especially for someone who’s supposed to be lead vocals.
Minzy’s dance was worse than the pictures. She’s 15 and a very good dancer. However that routine looked like it was straight out of a strip club. Save sexy for when later, if you do it too much in kpop they tire of it and they’ll be over it by the time she’s 18.
i totally agree with you. Bom needs to get more training in gym for her lung capacity. remember the 2netv episode wherein their trainer scolded her for not attending gym session for almost a month? she should work on her endurance on stage so as not tire her so soon. i think i should commend Dara for that, looks like she always has a lot of energy on stage.
totally agree with both of u. yeah minzy’s dance its to sexy for her age but its ‘sexyback’ right? expecting something more from the dance though.
CL did Amazing!
My favorite is Bom’s though. I like how she was fierce and I just like how she covered a Beyonce song. I hope she does again….or has her own song that’s better! ^_^ lol
I wish they could have toned down minjis choreo but maybe they experimenting i dunno oh well was fun to watch.
CL is a powerhouse!! I just get more and more awed by her with every performance. I thought Dara was really good. She’s not perfect, but she keeps improving. Bom can’t sing well and dance at the same time. She really needs to work on that. Minji’s dancing was powerful and sexy as usual. 2NE1 is definitely a force to be reckoned with.<3
cl was phemomenal. I think dara did better than boom. boom was flat . minji…. WTF was that. ur only 15 young lady. it looks like she was some girl dancing in a cage and horny men watching her and wanting to give her a tip or something. CL was seriously awesome though.
