Netizens have chosen the 2 national MCs Kang Ho Dong and Yoo JaeSeok as the rival showdown which they wish to see the most.
Yes24 did a poll from 21st till 28th December on “Like Seol KyungGoo and Ryu SeungBeom, which is the top showdown you wish to see?” in lieu of the upcoming movie ‘No Forgiveness’ to be aired on 7th January. And the results were announced on 29th December.
A total of 1052 netizens voted and the showdown they wish to see the most is between Kang Ho Dong and Yoo JaeSeok voted at #1 with 48% votes (508).
Voted #2 is the showdown ‘2PM VS Big Bang’ with 26% votes (276). The 2 are 2 of the top boybands in Kpop.
At #3 is ‘Park ChanHo VS Lee Seung Yeop’ with 13% votes (136) and #4 is ‘So Nyeo Shi Dae VS KARA’ with 11% votes (116).

Personally, I think all groups have thier strengths and weaknesses.
And I think in terms of showdowns, it should be DBSK vs. Big Bang. But I’m tired of seeing fans clash over that.

but compared to Big Bang, their songs like Again & Again, or I Hate You may be popular, but they haven’t gone to an extent where they take over Korea by storm like what Big Bang did with Haru Haru and Lies.
But i must say that they have definitely got popular way faster than Big Bang. The songs may have helped, but i would be lying if i say the JaeBum scandal didnt help.

Before SNSD debuted, the battle is between WG vs. KARA.
KARA debuted a month after WG so the two were compared so much. But KARA had to go on an 11 months hiatus cause a member left. During that time, WG had the “Tell Me” virus and SNSD debuted so they were the only ones who are active. So it was SNSD vs. WG for a long time.
KARA came back in 2008. Without WG, the next group that can be considered SNSD’s rival is KARA. They have similar styles and age range. They also debuted back in 2007.

The battle between WG and SNSD is long and over. WG won both in 2007 and 2008. SNSD never won cause WG is not even around this year.
KARA on the other hand, gave SNSD a good fight this year. Gone were the days when KARA was being pushed aside.
SNSD is really big but popularity wise, KARA is not too far recently. Even companies choose SNSD vs. KARA in endorsing their products. But of course, SNSD is still higher.
Watch out though, KARA is a force you have to acknowledge.

A dance battle would be good if it was Hyoyeon and Nicole but then again Hyoyeon would pawn her on stage. A singing? Taeyeon and Seungyeon but then Taeyeon would win. Her voice is great. Gags? SNSD would win. I’m not bragging but if you look at it in a way how the girls would battle, KARA would lose.

Hyoyeon has been a trained dancer for years. They’re different. I myself think that Hara is the best dancer in KARA. She was the main dancer until Nicole got famous for the butt dance.
