Recently, Super Junior M leader HanKyung’s contract termination request with SM Entertainment has caused great turmoil after being disclosed by the media.
As HanKyung’s representative lawyer Lee disclosed recently, HanKyung has already turned in a “Suspension of Contract Agreement” request and a “Contract Termination” request to court. The trials will begin January 8th in Korea.
To stop SM Entertainment from using delaying tactics, Hankyung has especially requested a “Suspension of Contract Agreement”. If the agreement is approved by court, HanKyung will be freed no earlier than March of next year.

I think the court will rule in favor of Hankyung because his case is similar to JSC case and in in their case the court ruled in favor of JSC so I wish Hankyung luck and I hope will win

the reason why he filed the law suit is not b/c he wanted to go solo but how unfair his contract is
1)The 13 year length of the contract which mean his contract will end when he is 35
2)Hankyung gets no say in his schedule, and has even been forced to perform when he was ill
3)Profit distribution SM holds all copyrights, surprise surprise. Also in question are the album sales divisions, including that the album must sell over 50,000 copies before Hankyung even sees 2%
4)SM can demand all they want from Hankyung and he can’t refuse, but he is not allowed to request contract changes.
Just put yourself in his shoes would you like to continue to work in a company that treat in that why

Okay, I concede that. But that doesn’t erase the fact that there are other Korean entertainers filing lawsuits against SM Entertainment as well. Namely, DBSK.

Seriously, what’s wrong with going to work for another country? Especially when SM purposely went to China to scout for new recruits. I’m sick of people going “zomg, foreigners taking all our jobs and monies”. In Korea, if you’re Chinese, you’re stealing all their rice. In America and Australia, if you’re Asian, you’re stealing all their bread. If they have better skills and talent for the job, then who’s to blame?
How would you know what he wants? Three members of DBSK has already stated they consider their contracts unfair. How would you like to be a slave for 10 years? As one who has been around the music industry, I know that there are lots of vultures like SME. It’s hard to make money as a singer. well is almost time for super junior older members to go the army anyway maybe they should get new members.
Of course nothing will happen to SJ. They had given several solid and professional performance even with few members missing. They often do activities in small groups anyway. That’s the advantage of having a big group like SJ and that’s why SM made a big boy band like SJ.
Some of them are in their mid-twentys. This is a critical time for their career development. Sooner or later they will have to go on different paths because each one of them have different talent. How much longer do you think they can stick together as a boy band? Until they are 35? 45?
