Fans are swept in shock after JYP Entertainment released information regarding Jaebum’s contract termination.
Fans are stating that this is ‘a groundless rumor’ and that JYP Entertainment is engaging in media play. Fans have fallen into panic mode, causing the official homepage to crash and are heading towards the JYPE building.
Fans are rejecting a statement within the announcement that claimed that the members of 2PM agreed to Jaebum’s withdrawal on the 6th of January.
“JYPE is just engaging in media play. The rest of the members are wanting Jaebum’s return.”
The date of January 6th is said to be a problem because of the following reasons.
On the 3rd of February at Seoul’s Gayo Daejun, 2PM had won the bonsang, in which Junho stated in his award speech, “I would like to thank Jaebum hyung for working hard with us.”
On the 14th of February, Nichkhun made a statement regarding Jaebum on his Thailand trip saying, “He’s an awesome hyung. I miss him.”
Fans are claiming that if the members agreed to Jaebum’s terminations, they would not have said such things.
“They had no idea of Jaebum’s withdrawal which is why they said such things. The company knew that the boycotting by fans will effect the income of the company and are throwing him away.”

JYPE should have figured that their statement could bring this chaos.
It was bad that JYP broke his promise to the Hottest, and now with his company issueing this not-smart statement, I couldn’t blame Hottest’s uproar.
I think Hottest would slowly accepted Jaebum’s termination if he and JYP made the announcement. Not throught but face to fan with fans.

Personally, I think fans’ reaction are inevitable. The news was put out all of a sudden. It was like a bomb finally exploding in front of their faces, instead of that pleasant surprise they were expecting. Come to think of it, that 1:59 album really made a lot of people hope that Jay would come back. I mean I’m not a fan, but my initial reaction was all of this was BS. The dates and reasons were a bit hazy at first, you really have to have a calm mind to digest and try to understand it. Most fans don’t have that kind of tolerance now, so they’re reacting this way. Like Jay, JYPE and 2PM, let’s try to give these hottests some time to grieve and get mad and whatever — I believe and hope that real hottests would be reasonable once their shock and grievances were aired.

I’d like to point out that just because the members clearly aren’t mad/upset with Jaebum doesn’t mean they want to promote with him. He might have done something that would damage the groups reputation as a whole and they may find their careers more important so they’re willing to let him go.

I’m getting really frustrated now, I think either way if he’s coming back or not JYP should just inform fans already. Fair enough maybe Jay and the other members are prevented from saying anything. But JYP should release a statement instead of just frustrating Hottests.
I’m starting to think he won’t come back now. At first I thought with all the protest and faith from Hottest JYP couldn’t ignore it forever. Still, if he really did sign an agreement to stay quiet, then even if the contract is terminated, that agreement will still be valid.
By saying Jay’s contract is terminated, and because it is officially announced, bringing Jay back is such a small glimmer of coming true.
But what I hate most about this announcement is that Jay’s name has to completely go down too. If he has to leave 2pm, why can’t they just let him leave with whatever good reputation he has? Do they have to say “a much worse personal problem that the remaining 6 decided that they can’t promote with Jay anymore?”
And what I hate most about this, is they have to drag it out until now. I mean, to all who says fans’ effort are futile or whatever, bear in mind that the reason for this is that JYPE made such a late announcement. If they have said this back in December, or even back in September, they might have recovered by now from the anticipated backlash.
We can’t ignore the reality that Hottests will get mad. But JYPE should have the guts to say it a lot earlier.
I think I said it in the other article, sorry if I sound like a broken record lol. IF he did make that mistake, and if I was some in-the-know JYPE employee, I would be tired of having to deal with those angry fans for someone who not only put me through this exhausting incident once, but twice. So for the 2nd time I’ll just go “let’s just reveal the real reason, or fans will think we made him leave!”
For example, a friend breaks an important vase but have reasons why he can’t own up, and you take up his blame in a way. Nobody’s going to be happy having all the screaming and blaming aimed at them, but imagine the frustration of not being able to say the truth, but having others criticize you.
JYPE officials are human too; I would be mentally exhausted from attempting to clear up all this.
But don’t you think if they have dealt with this earlier it won’t be as much painful? It is stressful, but that’s their world. Dragging this too long just made it worse because they have to face everything all over again.
I think the only way to appease the fans is to let Jay speak up.
It seems like an eternal hot potato – no matter when they deal with it, it’ll be hard for Hottests to accept. So I can’t really tell when is a better time for them to say it. I guess they might be waiting for a time when 2PM wasn’t promoting.
As for the stress part, what I meant was that Jay’s issue was unprecedented (and definitely his own fault, even if he was younger) and involved many Koreans who have pride in their country. Afterward, they have to deal with fans who are upset over his leaving. And there was Sunmi’s leaving, and now Jay again. That’s quite a lot in such a time, I wonder how many meetings they had.

I think people should be careful with this. One should remember that they are only outsiders, who do not know the full details. JYPE can only be releasing certain details, but not the full. Which is why it’s like a puzzle. You only have a few pieces, and when you put them together, it looks incomplete. But that’s because there are pieces that are missing and hidden.
As fans and outsiders, we only have a limited information on this. Sometimes it seems like it will make no sense at all, but before people start making war… let’s be careful that it just doesn’t complicate matters ^__^

did the Hottests really support the rest of 2pm after Jay’s withdrawal??
sorry, but as someone who is neither a fan not an anti, just a neutral, the 45000 & counting number of Hottests are fans of only Jay, not the rest of the boys.
wow….this just complicates matters. in JYPE’s statement they said that the other members feel they can’t promote with Jay anymore, which i find it hard to believe. seeing that the members have recently talked about Jay, this makes JYPE’s statement seem even more fishy. hmmmm
