Amidst the loud cries of unhappiness from fans with member leader JaeBum’s permanent succession from the team and also termination of contract with JYP Entertainment, 2PM WooYoung and TaecYeon appeared as MCs for SBS Inkigayo as usual.
They had appeared as the hosts on SBS Inkigayo aired on 28th February as usual. There has been requests from fans for the group to put their shows and TV programs on hold amidst such this case, but it seems that their show appearances will continue as usual.
What was even eye catching were the joking and bright features of the 2 members on the show, they were seen commented on Super Junior Kim HeeChul, “Has he become prettier?”.
Fans who were watching the show commented on the show’s discussion board, “I’m disappointed to see that they are able to go on shows and smile again right after JaeBum’s permanent succession when all this while, they seemed like they were having a hard time as a group”, “I’m shocked that they were faking their smiles”, “I’m speechless” etc.
However there were also fans who commented, “Do you expect them to put up a sour face as entertainers appearing on the show?’, “I’m really puzzled by the other 2PM members get all the criticisms to. This is too much?” etc.
Meanwhile, JYP Entertainment released an announcement on 25th February announcing JaeBum’s permanent succession from the team and also contract termination with the company. And on 27th February, the remaining 6 members of 2PM also had a conference with fans.

What these boys have done, if it’s true or false, is just what others around you have done. kHottests say we iHottests don’t know anything, it’s true, but some of us here can speak Korean so of course we know what’s going on. While you all get details quickly, some of us have to wait long agonizing hours just for someone reliable to translate it for us. It’s called the entertainment industry. there are always lies and secrets. Backstabbing and betrayal. so you guys should get over it. The world is dirty like that and you live it. In order to survive, you would do anything and if you don’t oh well. I agree 2pm won’t be the say anymore without Jay b/c Jay was like their pillar. But they could make up for what Jay did for the group even though they won’t be good as him. Even though Woo and Junho can’t sing like him, they are working on their singing. And ChanSung is trying SO HARD to work on his rapping and singing. I feel bad for Taec who has to rip off his shirt and be the body of the group b/c truthfully I prefer Jay’s better. But Taec is trying to work in to fill Jay’s role as a joker and the group’s speaker. Khun and Junsu are the oldest and as their role, they have to watch out for the younger members. But because of them trying to start all over again since Jay left and working hard is the reason why I still support them. It’s true I don’t like them as much as before, but watching them since hot blood days till now, we fans has seen all the trouble they went through. These boys felt betrayal too from the company, fans and even Jay. Truthfully, everyone is at fault.

I agree, there are 7 members on the group. I sympathize with what Jay is going through right now. But one must also try to understand what the other six are feeling, with pressure coming from all sides.They cannot mix professional activities with private and more personal side. One should put everything on it’s proper perspective and set aside personal emotions when the necessity arises. The shows format is song and dance, and it’s the job of emcees to liven it up.
And as I see that majority of the fans are of a much younger age ,some may show rather harsh reaction to the problem at hand, but given time and unbiased information, these flurry of emotions will eventually subside and the problem taken point by point objectively.
These boys including Jay have been through a lot to get to where they are right now, so I truly hope that everything will turn out fine in the end. And, a lot of fans may leave their side right now, but new fans may discover their talents, give them the support they need and stay by their side.
