  1. i personally loved the super junior performances. they looked really professional, in synch, and they have great vocal voices. πŸ™‚ however in the It’s You performance, you could somehow see depression in their faces, but not the usual emotions you see when someone sings a sad song. i feel really sorry for them. leeteuk took over heechul’s part, donghae took over kangin’s (if i’m not mistaken?), and siwon took over hangeng’s. honestly, at a certain second, i seriously thought it was hangeng who was dancing in the middle, but then i got really sad when i realized it wasn’t him. seriously missing hangeng, kibum, and kangin! πŸ˜₯ please come back, would you?

  2. *————*

  3. haahaahaahaaaaa
    i just mind about seunggi!!
    GO~GO~GO seunggi!!
    LOL at all of them!

  4. AFTER SCHOOL were on FIRE! all their performances were so hot and sleek. Loving the PCD performance with Son DamBi the best. Also Ah brought back some memories, how i loved that song.

  5. I thought the 9PM performance was okay. Not the best, but okay. I think it would have been better if they did more of the couple dance. I’m a SNSD fan, but there so much performances by them in the end of the year performances that I’m tired of of seeing them take all the spotlight. There are other girlgroups out there that deserve it, not just SNSD and 2NE1. I hate it when the broadcasting company make the artists perform outside in the cold.

    • So you’re just as annoyed with 2PM as you are with SNSD, right? I think they performed more than SNSD did…

  6. Wow. It was freezing outside. I like the Gahee-Yuri-HyunAh number very much. So sexy.

  7. mbc was a SUPER bore. the worst of them all
    I HATED THE MC’S
they talked so much i wanted to throw things at my screen. and they had that outdoor thing…WHAT THE HELL WERE THEY THINKING? TRYING TO KILL THE ARTISTS? you could totally see they were all red-nosed AND COLD.

and i agree with the comments above.
altho i love 2PM, the soshi-2pm thing did not work AT ALL. 2pm is beastly and soshi all candy and cute.
being wonderbang biased …nothing could beat their collab imo

  8. for some reason, i felt like somethings missing. ><
but it was an okay performance! happy new years!

  9. this was Ok..for me SBS was more fun

but i’m missing MBC Gayo Daejun 2008 ^^ that was awesome

    miss BBβ™₯

  10. 2PM pawn Super Junior on musicality song and stage performance…
while SNSD does Lipsynch…yay.. I watched the whole music fest..but I was entertain with other artits like Baek Ji Young and Lee Seungi Gi collab…

  11. this whole year was definitely something new. it was more of a year for hopeful stars to get recognition than the more “older stars building upon their fame” kind of thing. its a large generalization but thats how i see it.

2009 has been about all the hooplah about new groups. its good that many people get to debut and perhaps live their dream but with all these groups popping up left and right, it just comes to show the quality and preparation of the idols and performers. companies want to snatch quick bucks and gain credibility but all these new groups will hurt them in the long run. either lose profits from promotions or the older (even one year old groups) will start to lose their appeal. an example would be jewelry. their 2009 promotions for their album was overlooked because of many new rookie groups this year.

2008 was nearly the opposite. from 2007-2008, events, groups, profits, were really skyrocketing. the hallyu wave was very strong

  12. ^hehehe: i agree with you. those groups were what’s missing.

we keep on seeing the same people and hearing the same songs. for three consecutive nights.

    β™₯ wonderbang β™₯

  13. All these gayo daejuns were missing Wondergirls, DBSK, and Big Bang.
    This years was disappointing -_-;
Nothing was interesting, but everything was just sloppy.
Must be tiring for the artists who are active while these gayo daejuns are going on

  14. i thought baek ji young performed with seung gi? did they not? please feel free to correct me ^^

  15. sigh* YG artists are not here? awww…

  16. Thanks for posting and Happy New Year! πŸ™‚

SBS was better by far, I think. However, I think I would have preferred previous year’s gayos. 2PM and SNSD looked hot on their collab, but there was no chemistry whatsoever. Some might find my comment annoying but it’s not as fantastic as wonderbang. That’s just me.

    • think SNSD with their girly image and 2PM with their beastly image is the cause for the awkwardness. i mean, there’s nothing wrong with the performance. it just lacked spark. polar opposites.

while wonderbang, just had somethin there naturally. both were sexy and mature while still maintaining that cute idol factor. the dynamic was there.

you’re not alone, bud^^ i’m srsly missing the wonderbang days. both groups srsly need to make their korean comeback.

    • I thought the whole performance was a little bit of a yawn. I definitely agree that wonderbang performances were much better.

Their collab was just dancing anyway.

  17. i like all but a bit sian cos it’s like a lot performance by 2pm.
    JYp super chiong.

  18. i like sbs 1 the most.
    Mbc 1 also not bad.
i really like the juliette performance by SHinee and Kara πŸ˜€

  19. It would be better if the three broadcasting companies got together again and made a huge gayo daejun instead. I think that would be better as it gives the performers to have more time to prep up the stages and they wouldn’t be as sloppy, keeping their moves clean and sharp. Anyways, I enjoyed the performances for these few days πŸ™‚ And Happy New Year! πŸ™‚

    • ahah that be cool, but then i could imagine the 3 broacasing companies arguing who gets to air it xD

but it would make sense. everyone is probably dead tired, and it doesnt help that music bank is later today.

oh well, hopefully 2010 festivals will do something to help the artists out better. the shows were purrdy decent this year x)

      HAPPY NEW YEAR πŸ˜€

      • yeah, it’d be cooler if they just made one huge gayo festival instead. the pros outweigh the cons really.

        pros:
-artistes get more time to practice=better performance
-one giant event=one night=more rest time

        cons:
        -the battle for airing rights.

this has a simple solution though. rotate the airing cycle. this year kbs, next year sbs, then mbc and start all over again. simple. that way, all broadcasting companies gets equal opportunities and the artistes performing gets a chance to put their best feet forward.

    • Haha, that’s true, they should all get together.. that way, the artists will be able to celebrate christmas with whoever and not in their practice rooms and hopefully bring in the new year with their band members and friends and not in a studio waiting to perform again or just simply observing other artists.. Anyway, I liked the SBS one the most (: but I was sort of annoyed that there wasn’t a dance battle, but neverthless, with Big Bang making a comeback this year, my wish of them and 2PM collaborating will finally come true XD

  20. what were the blue and red teams?

  21. SBS won it for me. although it was sloppy and all over the place, the stages were more fun.

KBS was more classy, but hella boring.

Something was missing for me from this Gayo Daejun. :S

last years festivals were better imo. makes me miss BB right now T_T

I hope 2PM get some SERIOUS rest. they had SOOOO many stages in all the festivals, that i wouldn’t be surprised if one of them collapses from exhaustion. for heavens sake boys, get some rest (:

    • i agree that sbs had the most fun performances with the artists performing others’ songs ❀
the kara and shinee juliet perf was cutish with nicole and key XD
      and happy new year πŸ˜€

  22. The show was okay. The 2pm and SNSD performance was boring. 2008 MBC Gayo is much better. Same with SBS gayo. I like the dance battle in SBS in 2008. I’m hoping this year’s Gayo festival is better than 2009’s.

    And…

    HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

  23. thanks (: Happy New Year to you too (:

  24. yay~ thanks C:
