May will be the month of the ‘war of the idols’ – comeback from 2PM, Super Junior, f(x) and WonderGirls

With the comeback of idols like 2PM, Super Junior and WonderGirls etc, May will be the month of the ‘war of the idols’.

2PM previously released a new single ‘Don’t Stop Can’t Stop’ on 19th April and the title song ‘Without U’ is already up on the #1 spots on various music progaram and charts. They will join the ‘war of the idols’ in May with their promotions for the single.

And with So Nyeo Shi Dae ending their 4-month promotions with ‘Oh!’ and ‘Run Devil Run’, SM is set to have its 2 idol groups Super Junior and f(x) comeback in May. f(x) will have their comeback after 6 months with their 1st minialbum ‘NU ABO’. The song and teaser were revealed recently, and it had gone up to the #1 spots on various real time charts.

Kim JongKook is back with ‘Don’t Be Nice To Me’

Kim JongKook‘s comeback 6th album title song ‘Don’t Be Nice To Me’ has been revealed on music sites.

After 1 year and 3 months since his 5th album, Kim JongKook is back with the new song and its MV on 15th January. The MV features fellow Family Outing member Park YeJin.

The song is a production of Park SeonJoo who also did Bobby Kim‘s ‘The thing called love’.

The nominee list for upcoming 19th High1 Seoul Music Awards 2010 has been revealed!

Said to be one of the Korean popular music award ceremonies established by Sports Seoul in the 1990s which contributed to many other award ceremonies later on, the 19th Seoul Music Awards awarding the best singers of year 2009 will be held on 3rd February 2010.

WheeSung, Bobby Kim and Kim BumSoo cover 2NE1’s ‘I Don’t Care’

3 of the best vocals in Kpop realm WheeSung, Bobby Kim and Kim BumSoo covered 2NE1‘s hit song ‘I Don’t Care’ on a radio show on 3rd December.

They not only did the song in their own rendition, they also changed the lyrics to the perspective of a guy singing to his girlfriend. Love it!

Mnet unveils MAMA – Full nominee list revealed!


From 2009, Mnet annual music event MKMF will be changed to Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA).

A live program took place on 23rd October in Seoul Tower and the idea of the new music awards ceremony was revealed. Previously on 16th October, the note “This year there will be no MKMF’ was posted on Mnet’s official homepage, the change of the music ceremony was to give it a new transformation as mentioned by Mnet.
