Male leader to KARA’s upcoming ‘Wanna’ MV revealed

New acter Ryu SangWook will be the male lead to KARA’s upcoming MV ‘Wanna’ which is also the title song of their comeback full-length album.

Ryu SangWook is recently featured in MBC drama ‘Queen Seon Deok’.He was also called the ‘2nd Lee JungJae’ for having resemblance to Lee JungJae when he was acting as the role of the bodyguide for Go HyunJung in ‘Secret Clock’.

Ryu SangWook had previously participated in the MV filming for KARA’s ‘Wanna’ on 19th and 20th July, and in the MV he acts as the role of a stalker to the 5 members in the group.

One of the MV filming staff sais, “In one look you can say that he is a goodlooking guy with an innocent feel, which goes well with the concept of the MV. With much popularity that Ryu SangWook gets from females these days, much more anticipation is for the new MV.”

New singer Hwi is in the spotlight again

New singer Hwi has received a special invitation to this year’s Hallyu Music Festival.

After gaining much popularity singing for the theme song ‘I can’t have you’ for MBC weekend drama ‘Friend, our legend’, his popularity goes all the way to Japan and he has been invited to 2009 Hallyu Music Festival.

The festival is a joint event by Korea and Japan, and it sees the appearance of top stars – last year some of the stars who attended were WheeSung, Kim BumSoo, Paran etc.

And for this year, some of the stars who will be attending are Jo Sung Mo, T-Max, K Will and Hwi. Hwi was invited after the theme song ‘I can’t have you’ began to gain popularity amongst the Korean and Japanese views of the drama.

The festival will take place on 12th and 13th September .

Dong Bang Shin Ki is #1 on Oricon daily chart

Dong Bang Shin Ki has risen up to #1 position on Japanese Oricon daily chart with the song ‘Stand By U’ released in Japan on 1st July. And in just 5 days, it has gone up to the #1 position on Oricon daily chart

They had overtaken popular group Arashi’s new single and went up to the #1 position.

Dong Bang Shin Ki has been recently called to have hit the ‘triple 3’ with 30K album copies sold for their single, and also for their recent full length album, plus they hit 30K number of fans present for their Japanese concert tour. They also rewrote history by being the 1st Korean artiste to perform at the Tokyo Dome on 4th and 5th July for their finale Japanese concert tour performances.

Meanwhile, the group is set to be performing on a-nation concert from 1st August.

Hit-maker singer Yang Jeong Seung to release new single

Singer Yang Jeong Seung has released his new single album ‘Love’ and started on promoting the title song ‘Tears’.

‘Tears’, together with other song ‘Don’t Go’, are officially released on various music sites like Melon and Soribada on 6th July. Yang Jeong Seung has produced many hit songs for singers like Jo Sung Mo and KCM, and he had debuted as a singer officially last year.

M Lee MinWoo spends 6 million KRW on laser effects for comeback stage

ShinHwa M Lee MinWoo has returned with a perfect comeback stage. On 5th July on SBS Inkigayo, he had his first performance of ‘Minovation’ the title song off his 4.5th album.

Accompanied with his great performance to the catchy beat of the song that day is also a ‘laser beam glove’ he had on. One of such laser beam costs 1.5 million KRW and 4 of them were used on the glove for the stage that day.

M’s fans have also commented after the performance, “It’s good to see him improve and develop as an artiste. Looking forward to more by him in the future”, “This album totally shows the true M colours” etc

SHINee, 2PM, 2AM and Davichi etc come together for ‘Helping our needy neighbour concert’

Artistes will come together for the 2nd ‘Star Donation Meteor’ concert. The 1st of this concert was held last October and was aired on KBS as ‘Korea is 1 Family’.

And for this concert, the performing artistes like SHINee, 2PM, 2AM, Davichi, Jo Sung Mo, Lee Jung Hyun, ChaeYeon, TaeGoon, Bae Seul Gi, After School, Park Hyun Bin, Drunken Tiger, Yoo Mi Rae, Tei, LeeSsang etc.

The concert is sponsored by Who Is and KBS, and supported by Cultural and Physical education tourism board, SK Telecom, Nike, Dragonfly, I Love Plastic Surgery Dermatology. It will be held on 20th June in Seoul Korean University’s stadium. Proceeds to the concert will be contributed to help the needy.

Fans congratulates SS501’s 4th year anniversary with newspaper ad posting

Fans of 5-member group SS501 posted up newspaper ad to congratulate the group on their 4th anniversary since their debut.

Their offical fan club Theseus had posted the advertisement posting on 8th June on the daily newspaper – there was congratulation message together with a photo of the SS501 members smiling happily together.

Previously SS501 Kim Hyun Joong fans also posted up advertisement posting for completing his drama ‘Boys Over Flowers’.

Meanwhile, members Kim Kyu Jong and Kim Hyung Joon are promoting for MBC drama, while members Heo Yeong Saeng and Kim Hyung Joon are promoting as DJ on SBS Power FM.

YangPa is back after 2 years singing theme song for MBC drama ‘Soul’

Singer YangPa (Lee Eun Jin) is back singing the theme song to MBC drama ‘Soul (Hon)’.

She debuted in 1997, and went on for further studies in 2001 in Berkeley America. And then came back with ‘What is love’ etc in 2007.

And a while back, she transferred from Contents Media company after her contract with the company ended, and this theme song will be her first song after joining the new company.

The miniseries drama stars T-ara JiYeon, Lee Jin, Park Gun Il etc, and will air from 5th August.

This theme song will be written by Park Shi Hyuk, who also did Baek Ji Young‘s ‘Like Being Hit’ and 8eight‘s ‘Without a heart’ etc. Fans are anticipating this new song from Ballad Queen YangPa.
