‘Hallyu Dream Concert’ to take place on 12th September with 22 performing Kpop stars

The Hallyu Dream Concert hosted by Korea Entertainment Producer Association, ‘Visit Korea’ Committee and GyeongJoo; and sponsored by Ministry of Culture will take place on 12th September in GyeongJoo Citizen Stadium at 6pm.

This concert is planned in line with the 2010~2012 Visit Korea project which is a large scale cultural event for those in Korea and overseas to enjoy the drama, fashion and music which are the main elements to the Hallyu wave.

The performing artistes for this concert are confirmed to be Super Junior, 2PM, KangTa, 2AM, 2NE1, SE7en, 4Minute, BEAST, Son DamBi, KARA, After School, miss A, FT Island, Supernova, Davichi, T-ara, MBLAQ, Ukiss, ZE:A, Secret, Flower, Seo InKook etc. There are a total of 22 performing teams (102 singers). And already, there has been growing interests from audiences in Korea and overseas.

Kangta – “Big Bang is the idol that draws the most attention”

H.O.T member Kangta who was on MBC TV’s “GoldFish” attracted attention after he mentioned “Big Bang is the idol that draws the most attention“. Kangta who has re-appeared on TV after being away for two years was afraid of being awkward.

Kangta talked about his activities with H.O.T, his military life, his solo career, etc. He frankly confessed many stories and attracted the attention of the public.

In addition to this MC Kang Ho Dong asked Kangta, “What idol singer has attracted your attention the most nowadays?”

Kangta replied, “When I was an idol there was a dilemma of limited genres, so it would seem that all the idols [attract attention nowadays], but Big Bang is a group that can digest [do] all kind of genres and each member of the group is also able to do their own solo activities.”

KangTa, “I am going to be with SM Entertainment for over 10 years to come”

Singer KangTa reveals that he will continue to be under SM Entertainment’s management for more than 10 years to come.

KangTa was present for the press conference to commemorate 1st year establishment of entertainer’s standard contracts on 6th June in Seoul YeoIlDo. He said at the conference, “It has been 15 years since I debuted as H.O.T.”

He said, “During these 15 years, I have not left my agency for once, and I re-contracted with them 4 times. In the coming 10 years, I’m going to stick with them. It is a rare case to continue under one agency for 15 years, and I was asked ‘Why do you continue with them?’. The reason is that I feel it is worthy to stay managed under this agency.”

Kangta, BoA, Super Junior and SNSD etc for upcoming SMTown Live’10 concert tour

SM Entertainment will start its SMTown Live concert tourn on 21st August starting in Seoul and moving on to big cities like LA, Tokyo, ShangHai etc.

For ‘SMTOWN LIVE ’10 WORLD TOUR’ this time, the tour will go outside the Asian region, and sees the participation by SM artistes like Kangta, BoA, UKnow YunHo, Max ChangMin, Super Junior, So Nyeo Shi Dae, SHINee, f(x) and TRAX etc. And a concert performance is going to last for about 5 hour, packed with grand performances.

After a shot of fame, Zhang Liyin gets frozen for 3 years

At 13-years-old, she entered a newcomer singing competition, where she was discovered by Korean company SM Entertainment, becoming an artist under the same label as major acts like TVXQ, Super Junior, Kangta and Girls Generation. When she was 17-years-old, she released her first single, “Timeless,” and in the same year, received the award for Best Newcomer in Korea. But to pursue greater success, she was secretly trained for three years before being allowed a re-debut in 2010.

With a near-perfect voice accompanying the new trend of R&B, she has quickly won the hearts of many fans. Being the first Chinese female soloist born out of the Hallyu Wave, she was given the nickname of the “Chinese BoA”. Currently in Korea, but born in Chengdu, Sichuan, her name is Zhang Liyin. Yesterday, Zhang Liyin did an exclusive interview with the paper, telling the story of her journey into the South Korean market.

Kpop year 2010? “Again, 2008”

This year in Kpop seems like a good harvest year. From idol groups to singers who have been away from the local Kpop scene and to singer songwriter, we are expected to see them all back in action again.

To start off the year, we have the ‘war of the girlgroups’ between So Nyeo Shi Dae, KARA and T-ara who are set to capture the hearts of the males out there. We won’t be just seeing the war of the roses in spring this year, ‘dancing queens’ Lee Hyori and Son DamBi will also be making their comeback.

KangTa first ever fan meeting after military discharge!

Remember the previous news about KangTa will do Asia Fan Meeting Tour after military discharge?

Well, he finally throwed the event yesterday February 20 7:00 pm at Korea Arts Center.

KangTa greets around 600 fans and sings his singles such as : Happy Happy and Propose. KangTa also sings hits from George Michael’s Kissing A Fool and Brian McKnight’s One Last Cry.

In the Fanmeeting, KangTa also received a congratulatory message from same company junior like TVXQ Yunho and ChangMin, Super Junior, SNSD, Trax and also f(X).

In addition, KangTa will greet his Japanese fans on March 19,2010. He is also scheduled to release a single album in the 1st half of 2010 and planned to hold a concert within this year.
