2NE1 to release 1st offline album with a new image in July

Newcomer 4-member group 2NE1 will release a new album and present yet a new look in July. And this will be the first time they will release an album offline.

2NE1 debuted beginning of May with the song ‘Fire’ which is a digital single. The song is currently one of the hot tracks up on various music charts. And on the 6th, YG Entertainment said, “2NE1 will release a new minialbum beginning of July which will include 6 songs. At first we thought of them releasing this new minialbum this month, but we had to push back the date due to some issues in schedule for MV filming.”

“This will be the girls’ first offline album release. And they will be back with a different look from the strong feeling that ‘Fire’ gives, they will be back more feminine and with new charms.”

Meanwhile, the girls will have their 3rd performance of ‘Fire’ on SBS Inkigayo on 7th June.

SeeYa, “It’s hard looking for a new member after Nam GyuRi left”

Female group SeeYa has revealed that finding a new member after leader Nam GyuRi left has been a tough job coming.

The group has been on a lookout for a new member after leader Nam GyuRi left the group in mid-April. But according to their representative on 6th June, the selection for a new member is not as easy as they have thought it to be.

The representative said, “The new member has to have vocal capabilties, and also has to be able to work well with member Lee BoRam and Kim Yeon Ji. But it is not so easy looking for such a person.”

Right now, the remaining 2 SeeYa members are promoting as the project group with Davichi and T-ara JiYeon.

The representative also added, “We are working hard on looking for this new member. Until we find the right member for the group, they will have to wait before their new album release.”

2PM JunSu’s self-arranged jazz version of ‘I Had A Lover’ raises interests amongst netizens

Member of group 2PM, which has been gaining much love and support from fans for their latest hit ‘Again&Again’, JunSu has recently caused a topic amongst netizens for a video of him singing.

The video was up as one of the hottest topic on the online forums and video sites like Daum TVPot etc. In the video, he was shown practising singing with his friend on the song ‘I Had A Lover’ originally by Lee Eun Mi. And this version of the song is arranged personally by JunSu himself and is said to be the jazz version of the original song.

Netizens commented, “I get goosebumps from hearing this song”, “He has really good vocal power, better than what I expect” etc.

Fans love WonderGirls SunMi’s new short hairstyle

WonderGirls member SunMi has recently cut her hair to shoulder-length short.

She sent out greetings to fan recently on 6th May on their official fan cafe. And fans immediately spotted her new hair, much different from her previously long locks.

She has all along been spotting long natural locks. And with a change of a hairstyles, she looks really cute and pleasant. Netizens and fans’ responses, “Really cute”, “She suits short hair as much as long hair”, “As compared to SunMi with thick makeup, I prefer SunMi who looks pure and innocent.”

With the episode going on about member Nam GyuRi, SeeYa Lee Boram and Kim Yeon Ji moves on to promote new project single with Davichi members and T-ara JiYeon.

They will also officialy promote the song together on various music programmes. This song is also on MBC drama Cinderella Man OST.

New group Mate’s ‘Longing MV’

New Korean indie band Mate has caught my attention recently. They officially released their 1st album ‘Be Mate’ on 7th May, which includes 10 songs in total.

Being a fan of Korean indie, their album did not sound like that from a newcomer to me. I love all the songs from them. Especially this one ‘Longing’ from the album. This is actually their 2nd MV released after ‘It’s Alright‘.

This makes me miss Nell ever more. Do check out the album if you have the chance. Great music going on.

Solbi talks about entertainer ex-boyfriend

“When I sing the song ‘Will Be Punished‘, the image of a male star pops up in my mind.” Singer Solbi reveals that her recent song ‘Will Be Punished’ is the actual experience she had when she parted ways with a male entertainer 2 years back.

Solbi was on SBS YaShimManMan when she revealed that. Solbi has been very careful when it comes to talk on relationships. And she has been putting up a bright and cute image, but through the song and her confession, fans can see a different side of her.

Solbi also revealed, “That person knows that the song talks about us. But we have to careful with what we say.”

“1 year after debut as a singer, he is someone whom I still have feelings for. But it seems his feelings for me are different from me to him. There was a period of time when I saw his face on the TV, I have to change channel. I cried a lot and I thought I hated him a lot. When I was recording the song ‘Will Be Punished’, I teared too. What was a painful experience has now become a part of my song.”

SeeYa, Davichi and T-ara JiYeon to promote new project single

SeeYa (Lee BoRam, Kim Yeon Ji), Davichi (Kang Min Kyung, Lee HaeRi) and T-ara JiYeon will officially start promotion for their project single ‘Female Generation/Forever Love’.

The 2 songs have already been revealed on various music sites. Of the 2 songs, they will start performing the song ‘Female Generation’ on Mnet M!Countdown on 7th and then subsequently on the various music programmes for each broadcast stations.

What will be the highlights to their group activity will be member T-ara JiYeon on her first stage appearance.

Big Bang GDragon’s special appearance 2NE1’s ‘Fire’ MV

Big Bang GDragon, who have been said to have slight depression and is currentlyon his Europe vacation, has a special appearance on 2NE1‘s new MV.

2NE1 released the MV to their debut single ‘Fire’ on the 6th. In the MV, GDragon had a cameo appearance. He was seen swinging his head and moving comically to the lyrics ‘ChalRang ChalRang’ in the song.

It was previously mentioned in YG’s message on how GDragon has been having  a hard time coping with work and had been down with slight depression a while back. Fans’ responses to his cameo appearance have been welcoming too.

His solo album will be released in August.

2NE1 proves to be a big hit – more than 500K views in just 2 hours after MV release

Group 2NE1 has proven to be a big hit. The MV to their debut song ‘Fire’ has been revealed on the 6th.

And in just 2 hours into the release of the MV, it has attracted more than 500,0oo views to GomTv site which was the first to reveal the MV.

A YG representative said, “The MV has attracted more than 500,000 views in just over 2 hours since its reveal on 6th May. We are in the state of bewilderment.”

2NE1 is YG’s new female group consisting of 4 member CL as the rapper leader, Sandara Park, Gong Min Ji and Park Bom. They also recently sang for the CM song for LG Lollipop phone with group Big Bang.

Singer Ilak’s comeback

Singer Ilak will release his comeback 3rd album Part.1 ‘Illusion’ 2 years and 10 months since his last release of 2nd album in 2006 July.

The MV to his new album title song ‘Then, that woman’ will be filmed in Seoul IlDae on the 28th. And movie actors Kang Seong Jin and Won Tae Hee will also be appear for his MV.

For Ilak‘s comeback album, Part 1 and 2 album will be released separately. And Part 1 ‘Illusion’ will be released on 7th May.

Big Bang DaeSung celebrates birthday with 5000 fans at guillera concert

Big Bang DaeSung celebrated his 21st birthday with 5,000 other fans on 26th April in Seoul ShinChon during the ‘Hite Cool Concert’.

It was a surprise 21st party for DaeSung who did not know about the it prepared by fans. Big Bang performed the songs ‘Sunset Glow’ and ‘Lies’ etc, and in between the concert, fans shouted birthday song for DaeSung, and presented a present of 210 cans of Hite beer.

DaeSung, who were shocked by the surprise birthday party, said, “I’m shocked with 5,000 fans gathering together for this guillera concert for the birthday party. Doing the concert and my party together like this have left me good memories.”

SeeYa members Lee Boram, Kim Yeon Ji were filming for their new project group digital single’s MV on 26th April in GyeongGiDo with Davichi and T-ara JiYeon.

Lee Boram and Kim Yeon Ji also revealed their views on member Nam GyuRi leaving the group.

Lee Boram, “Nam GyuRi saying that she received unjust treatment is really hard to believe. Because of what GyuRi said, the whole truth has been distorted. Our company and SeeYa are also being put at a difficult situation. We hope that all this unpleasant talk will just stop.”
