MBC Music Core 15.05.2010 – BEAST goodbye stage with ‘Special’

6-member male idol group BEAST had their comeback stage on MBC Music Core on 15th May with the performance of ‘Special’.

Meanwhile, BEAST won their first #1 on music shows for the first time since their debut with this minialbum ‘Shock’.

Lee JungHyun to join the April comeback singers for new album release

Actress singer Lee JungHyun (30) will join the list of comeback singers with a new album release end of this month and join the battle of the solo female singers with Lee Hyori (31) who recently released her new album.

It has been revealed that Lee JungHyun will be back with an addictive synth pop song, and for her stage concept she had roped in the help of famous designs. Known for her unique stage performances and addictive dance songs, it is said that Lee JungHyun will join Lee Hyori, who just released a new dance song ‘Chitty Chitty Bang Bang’, for the showdown of the solo female singers.

A rep said, “When Lady Gaga was in Korea previously, she has acknowledged Lee JungHyun for her performance. Lee JungHyun is also looking forward to her comeback.”

Stars together for ‘Visit Korea Year 2010-2012 Opening Ceremony’

On November 11,2009, besides having the stylish event ‘Style Icon Awards 2009′, there’s also another big event being held in Seoul city.

It is called -Visit Korea year 2010-2012’ 50 days Countdown Opening Ceremony-. The event is held on  Nov 11,2009 at Cheonggye Square. Why Nov 11 ? According to Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) it is simply because it’s exactly 50 days before 2010. And why 3 years campaign you say? Because it’s a joint program with 7 major events in it (held in 3 years time) and that includes the Korean Wave Festival. It is a huge and international event as 800 foreign tourists are reported attending the event.

And of course, the Kpop Stars are also supporting the campaign and gave their best performance in the opening ceremony of Visit Korea Year 2010-2012.

MCs for the event are : Park JungAh, Alex and Choi YoonYoung, whilst the Kpop performer line up : Insooni, Lee Junghyun, Ivy, SS501, MC Mong, FT Triple and MBLAQ.

InCheon Korean Music Wave Festival – 2PM JaeBum’s last performance after MySpace criticisms

MBC aired the footage of 2PM‘s performance with member JaeBum during last weekend’s InCheon Korean Wave Music Awards today at the timeslot for MBC Music Core.

And this performance is said to be the last of JaeBum‘s performing with 2PM after the MySpace controvery and before he left the group and Korea on 8th September.

Super Junior and So Nyeo Shi Dae are Korea representative for Asia Song Festival

Idol groups Super Junior and So Nyeo Shi Dae will be Korea’s representative singers for ‘2009 Asia Song Festival’ to be held in Seoul coming 19th September.

The song festival started in 2004 with 7 countries’ participation and 9 team of performing artistes, and for this year there are altogether 9 participating countries with 15 performing teams.

Some of the participating singers: from Japan – Gackt and mihimaru GT; from China – Lee YuZhun and Show Luo; from Hong Kong – Leon Lai; from Thailand Chaotic etc

2NE1 ‘I Don’t Care’ is #1 on and offline

2NE1’s latest hit ‘I Don’t Care’ is #1 on and offline.

According to music site Monkey3, the song has been up on the chart at #1 spot for 3 weeks, taking So Nyeo Shi Dae ‘Tell Me Your Wish’ off the #1 spot.

It is also #1 on download site with 17% of download contents going to it, and So Nyeo Shi Dae ‘Tell Me Your Wish’ is at #2. It is a regret that So Nyeo Shi Dae will not be able to achieve the 9 consecutive #1 they had with ‘Gee’ earlier this year.

Other songs from 2NE1’s 1st minialbum like ‘Pretty Boy’, ‘In The Club’ and ‘Let’s Go Party’ are also on top 30 positions of the chart, ‘Fire’ is at #19.

Meanwhile, the girls are promoting the song ‘I Don’t Care’.

MyungSica ‘NaengMyun’ is #1 on illegal download site for the 2nd week

The collaboration between Park MyungSoo and So Nyeo Shi Dae Jessica ‘NaengMyun’ has been known to be up #1 on illegal music download site for the 2nd week.

It is up #1 on PSP site with 22.3% of the download contents accruing to it.

Other collaboration hits from Infinite Challenge special episode like Lee JungHyun-JunJin’s ‘Senorita’ are also up on top 10 on the chart.

With that, 2NE1 is also at #2 up one position from #3 on the chart, while Brown Eyed Girls ‘Candy Man’ is rising up fast on the chart.
