From 2009, Mnet annual music event MKMF will be changed to Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA).
A live program took place on 23rd October in Seoul Tower and the idea of the new music awards ceremony was revealed. Previously on 16th October, the note “This year there will be no MKMF’ was posted on Mnet’s official homepage, the change of the music ceremony was to give it a new transformation as mentioned by Mnet.

4Minute member HyunA talked about her previous group WonderGirls. She was on KBS Star GoldenBell aired on 25th July when she gave a shocking revelation.
She said, “When I first saw that WonderGirls was doing so well, my heart hurts. There was someone new there. But with time I felt alright about it.”
4Minute also revealed that in order to show their teamwork, they have even went around holding one another’s hands. Youngest SoHyun said, “In order to show that we are a group, we even went to the toilet holding hands. The older members found it tiring.”
She added, “HyunA unnie likes to do aegyo to the extremes. It was so scary to see since her tongue will go shorter.”
Recently came back with their 3rd album and title song ‘I Hope’ group FT Island member Lee HongKi was on KBS Star GoldenBell on 25th July.
He revealed a rule which the group members must abide by, “Amongst the members we cannot have the same ideal type of girl. If Song HyeGyo is my ideal type of girl, she is mine.” causing laughter in the recording studio.
He also added, “There was this fan who likes to appear with the placard ‘Choi JungHoon, draw out your blood’. We even received a box with a syringe filled with blood before. We got worried but released that it was just ketchap in the syringe.”
Popular back in the 90s, group Roora will be back with their comeback performances after 10 years.
The group will be on SBS Inkigayo with their 9th comeback album promotions. The 4 members Lee SangMin, Kim JiHyun, Go YeongWook and Chae Rina will appear together on stage after 10 years.
They will be presenting an enjoyable and fun dance steps with the song ‘Going Going’.
Also on SBS Inkigayo today will be 2PM members TaekYeon with WooYoung for the MCs positions on the show. Brown Eyed Girls will also be having their comeback stage.

The tickets were sold out in just 30 minutes for SS501 first Asia tour Seoul concert performances 1st window sales.
SS501 will be performing in Seoul on 1st and 2nd August for their ‘THE 1st ASIA TOUR PERSONA’ concert.
Tickets were sold out 30 minutes after the 1st window sales were opened. It was said that the traffic on the online ticket sales site increasedly significantly when the sales opened.
SS501 also spoke up about this, “We are very impressed by our fans especially since this is our first Asian tour. We will showcase our best at the performances.”
The 2nd window for ticket sales will take place end-June.
Boys Over Flowers Kim Joon will take on musical.
After receiving much popularity acting as Song WooBin in KBS hit drama Boys Over Flowers and as a member of singer group T Max, he is casted for musical titled ‘Youth’s Journey’.
‘Youth’s Journey’ is a manga remake talking about Yeong ShimEe talking about the 33 years of his growing up, and will feature songs like Lee Seung Chul’s ‘Last Concert’, Lee Moon Sae’s ‘Flying into the deep blue night’, and Hyun Ji Yeon’s ‘You in the fading memory’ etc.
After the drama Boys Over Flowers ended, Kim Joon has not only been busy promoting within Korea but also overseas. And this will be his first attempt at musical.
He is double casted as the male lead together with Lee Jin Hoon who also did the musical Singles, and Lee Jung Mi and Kim Ji Woo have been casted as the female leads.
The musical will take place from 18th till 25th July.
Group Roo’Ra will comeback in commemoration of 15 years into their debut with their 9th album.
They are known to be one of the best dance groups in the 90s and consists of members Lee Sang Min, Go Yeong Wook, Kim Ji Hyun, Chae RiNa and Shin Jung Hwan. They will release a new album coming July. Shin Jung Hwan will join as a guest rapper to the group.
The meaning to this album is very great as the members have come together 10 years after their individual activities. They will also have a public performance in Seoul HyunDae Shopping Mall cultural hall to meet up with fans coming 17th.
