How do we recognise the idols of this time?

Mnet music research centre did an investigation on 1000 male and female adults for the whole month of June. The investigation looked into the 57 singers/teams who are the most active currently in the Korean music scene in terms of vocal capabilities, appearances, amiability, talent, performance and variety.

And through the survey, it was known that other than vocal capabilities, the idols are ranked very high in all the categories. In terms of their live performances, 16 ranks out of the top 20 ranks belongs to idol singers. And in terms of appearances, the girlgroups have dominated the rankings. Of the top 10 rankings we see the names of popular girlgroups like So Nyeo Shi Dae, KARA, f(x), After School, 2NE1, T-ara, 4Minute etc.

Kim JinHo, “Jaebum ah, never let go of the earnestness you’ve once again found”

SG Wannabe Kim JinHo’s encouraging message to Jay Park revealed.

Kim JinHo wrote on his Twitter on 17th June, “Another growing pain. The earnestness that you have once again got hold off, don’t let it go and show it to us.” The message was posted a day before Jay is set to return to Korea for the filming of his upcoming Hollywood movie ‘Hype Nation’.

Jay Park also replied to JinHo’s tweet, “Hyung, thank you. JinHo hyung jjang”. Jay will return to Korea 9 months after he had left group 2PM and Korea. His flight is set to land in Korea at 5.5opm KST on the 18th. Jay will be flying back with team A.O.M.

MBC Music Core 05.06.2010 – SS501 Comeback Stage!

Today on MBC Music Core episode 211, new girlgroup SISTAR throwed their debut stage, whilst 2 comeback stages are also scheduled coming from boygroup SS501 and SG Wannabe’s Lee Seok Hoon. Meanwhile,  girl group After School will end their “Bang” promotion today as well.

KBS Music Bank 04.06.2010 – Super Junior’s 3rd #1 with ‘Bona Mana’

Today on KBS Music Bank, Super Junior wn their 3rd #1 on the show with ‘Bona Mana’. It is however a shame that member KyuHyun could not be present due to his recent ear surgery.

A photo posted up on various portal sites lately has been garnering much interests from netizens.

The photo is a shot taken backstage to Boys II Men’s recent concert performance in Korea together with vocal powerhouse female group Davichi. And member Kang MinKyung was seen hugging one of the Boys II Men member in the photo.

Some of netizens’ comments were “Minkyung ah, if you hug someone like that, you are going to get into trouble”, “Hug me too?”, “She looks like a huge fan”, “Envious of Boys II Men” etc.

News of Ivy to work with Kim KwangSoo for next album released on the same day as Lee Hyori’s 4th album release?

Singer Ivy will collaborate and work with representative Kim KwangSoo.

Representative Kim KwangSoo, who had been recently stopped working with Lee Hyori, will be working with Ivy. It has been known that Ivy’s company Dechocolate Entf had asked for the help of representative Kim KwangSoo to help with the plans, marketing and producing of Ivy’s new album, and he had accepted it.

The report came in at 10.38am by Dechocolate Entf on 12th April. This is coincidentally the same day of Lee Hyori’s 4th album release.

MC Mong and Seo InYoung collaborate for the first time for duet ‘Bubble Love’

MC Mong and Seo InYoung will come together for duet for the first time.

MC Mong and Seo InYoung will collaborate for a duet song ‘Bubble Love’ for composer Jo YeongSoo’s 3rd signature album ”All Star 2.5′.

The song talks about the story of lovers in innocent and pure love and Seo InYoung’s voice is beautifully complemented with MC Mong’s rap in the song. Seo In Young will also show a cute side of her not shown before.

Even though he had recently got into an accident and got himself 6 stitches on his forehead, MC Mong kept his promise in recording the song.

[Review] SeeYa lead vocal YeonJi releases first solo song

Female group SeeYa lead vocal YeonJi will be releasing her first solo song.

YeonJi has been known for her great vocals power in group SeeYa. And recently SeeYa released their new album ‘Rebloom’ featuring title song ‘His Voice’ and SeeYa also did a collaboration with T-ara and Davichi with ‘Super Woman’ – both songs were well received by fans.

And YeonJi will be releasing her solo song ‘Let’s Meet Again’, a ballad song talking about one realising the love and waiting for the loved one after he/she had left. It is composed by Jo YeongSoo who is also known as the hit-maker. The song is the prelude to the upcoming ‘All Star 2.5’ album produced under Jo YeongSoo.
