WonderGirls YooBin, “I go to sleep looking at SunMi’s photo”

A photo of SunMi which had the WonderGirls missing her found in the girls’ dormitory in the States garners interests.

The girls’ dormitory and their features during their American concert tour were revealed through the first episode of Mnet ‘Made In WonderGirls’ aired on 30th July.

YooBin was the one who introduced their dormitory. It had caught the eyes of TV viewers that a photo of SunMi was found in the room which YooBin, SoHee and HyeRim use. YooBin touched the photo and said, “I always go to sleep looking at SunMi. SunMi ya, good night,” expressing her longing for SunMi.

SunMi, “I wanna hear ‘I like SunMi’ again!”

WonderGirls ex-member SunMi updates on her latest status on her Twitter account.

She posted up a recent photos of herself and wrote on her Twitter on 19th July, “I miss u guys!!! and I wanna hear ‘sunmika jo a~’ again!!! kkkkkkkkk”. In the photo, SunMi had appeared with much more matured and feminine features.

Netizens commented, “You look more feminine than before”, “It is great to be able to see more photos and update from you through Twitter from now.”

SunMi left WonderGirls in February and is currently pursuing her education.

[Photo Spam] Celebrities attending WG SunYe father’s wake

With the unfateful news of WonderGirls leader SunYe father’s passing earlier today, many Korean celebrities have also attended his wake and paid their last respect.

Some of the celebrities spotted at the wake includes WonderGirls ex-member SunMi, 2AM Jo Kwon, Super Junior DongHae and HeeChul, Park ShinHye and Park KyungRim. The rest of the 2AM and 2PM members are also set to attend the wake.

WonderGirls YooBin to SunMi, “Let’s be together forever”

WonderGirls send a video message to member SunMi who left the group recently to further her studies.

The girls were featured for an interview on SBS ‘One Night TV Entertainment’ on 3rd June where they said in a video message to SunMi, “Let’s be together forever.”

YooBin said, “We got to see SunMi since she is in Korea as well, and we gave each other encouragement. SunMi also shows support for our stage. No matter where, be it in Korea or the States, let’s continue to keep in touch and depend on each other as unnies and dongsaengs. Let’s be together forever.”

WonderGirls in tears, “SunMi is forever a Wonder Girls member”

Tears fell as the WonderGirls talk about member SunMi as the forever member of the group.

The WonderGirls were on KBS WinWin aired on 25th May when they talked about member SunMi who left the group in February to continue her studies.

Leader SunYe said, “The most important thing is SunMi’s happiness. Even though WonderGirls’ happiness as a whole team is important, SunMi’s personal happiness is important too. Because this is about SunMi’s life, we thought we need to consider for her too. Even though at first it was hard to accept, but after that, we listened to SunMi more and could better understand and consider her choice.”

WonderGirls ex-member SunMi passed her high school examinations!

It has been known that WonderGirl ex-member SunMi has passed her high school examinations.

According to Gyeongsangbuk Provincial Office of Education homepage on the 13th, SunMi’s name has appeared on the list of students who passed the first high school exams for 2010 as ‘Registration number 211493 Lee SunMi’.

SunMi was seen previously in a high school in Gyeongsangbuk PoHang on 11th April to take her high school exam. She has previously stopped her high school education at high school year 2 in 2009 to concentrate on WonderGirls’ promotional activities. But last February, she had left the group to focus on her studies.

WonderGirls in criticisms for SunMi-Hyelim composite photo

A composite photo of the WonderGirls is being criticised by netizens.

WonderGirls have recently been chosen as the singer of the month by American portal site AOL. But in introducing the girls, AOL has decided to put up a photo of the girls during their ‘Nobody’ days but had superimposed new member HyeLim’s face over SunMi’s face.

The truth is that the girls do not have the spare time to retake the photos for ‘Nobody’ promotions. With SunMi leaving the group in February, they had returned to Korea, new member HyeLim joined the group, they headed back to the States to prepare for their American debut album, and then did promotions in countries like China and Singapore etc.

But fans who saw the photo commented, “Even if it is a foreign site, but still”, “Even if you do not have a new photo, that is not the way to do it”, “didn’t they just reveal a new photo for their upcoming album, why of all?” etc.

May will be the month of the ‘war of the idols’ – comeback from 2PM, Super Junior, f(x) and WonderGirls

With the comeback of idols like 2PM, Super Junior and WonderGirls etc, May will be the month of the ‘war of the idols’.

2PM previously released a new single ‘Don’t Stop Can’t Stop’ on 19th April and the title song ‘Without U’ is already up on the #1 spots on various music progaram and charts. They will join the ‘war of the idols’ in May with their promotions for the single.

And with So Nyeo Shi Dae ending their 4-month promotions with ‘Oh!’ and ‘Run Devil Run’, SM is set to have its 2 idol groups Super Junior and f(x) comeback in May. f(x) will have their comeback after 6 months with their 1st minialbum ‘NU ABO’.
