[Highlights] 2010 Mnet 20’s Choice by Walkerhill RiverPark Swimming Pool

2010 Mnet 20’s Choice was held on 26th August at 5pm in Seoul Walkerhill Hotel RiverPark Swimming pool which saw the participation of various stars and their hot live performances.

The MCs of the night were Seo InYoung and Jo Kwon, and about 1000 over audiences were also present. And the event had seemed like a summer night poolside party. Unlike last year, Mnet 20’s Choice this year was held with the prize ceremony for the 20 most influential stars for 2010.

T-ara to advance overseas for 2nd album promotion

T-ara talks about making their overseas expansion and main focuses for album activities in 2010.

T-ara’s agency said on the 19th, “We’ve had love calls from 8 different countries including Japan, China, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore, but we’ve refused them all. Although T-ara members were busy acting in Korea during last years album and currently are, when the new album is released during the second half of the year we expected to advance overseas but stick mainly to Korean promotions for the time being,” he said.

‘Hallyu Dream Concert’ to take place on 12th September with 22 performing Kpop stars

The Hallyu Dream Concert hosted by Korea Entertainment Producer Association, ‘Visit Korea’ Committee and GyeongJoo; and sponsored by Ministry of Culture will take place on 12th September in GyeongJoo Citizen Stadium at 6pm.

This concert is planned in line with the 2010~2012 Visit Korea project which is a large scale cultural event for those in Korea and overseas to enjoy the drama, fashion and music which are the main elements to the Hallyu wave.

The performing artistes for this concert are confirmed to be Super Junior, 2PM, KangTa, 2AM, 2NE1, SE7en, 4Minute, BEAST, Son DamBi, KARA, After School, miss A, FT Island, Supernova, Davichi, T-ara, MBLAQ, Ukiss, ZE:A, Secret, Flower, Seo InKook etc. There are a total of 22 performing teams (102 singers). And already, there has been growing interests from audiences in Korea and overseas.

T-ara attended the premiere event for movie ‘GoSa 2’ on 8th August in at 8 cinemas including Busan CGV Phantom City, DaeYeong cinema etc.

And the girls started their schedule that day at 9am, and while in the waiting room, the ywere spotted eating sweet corns.

HyoMin posted a photo of herself transforming (?) member member SoYeon on her Twitter on 3rd August and wrote, “HyoMin whose soul has moved and tranformed into SoYeon unnie’s body..”

Netizens’ comments on the photo are, “What is this?”, “Scary”, etc. Meanwhile, HyoMin is currently working on upcoming SBS drama ‘My Girlfriend is a nine-tailed fox’ alongside actors like Lee SeungGi and Shin MinAh.

T-ara leader BoRam to follow mother’s foot steps with drama debut

T-ara leader Jeon BoRam will follow her mother Lee MiYeong’s foot steps with her drama debut in upcoing KBS 2TV drama.

According to Core Contents Media, “Jeon BoRam has been casted as the main lead for upcoming KBS 2TV drama special ‘The Grim Reaper in purple heels is coming’.” BoRam will be the 5th member from T-ara after JiYeon, EunJung, HyoMin and Qri to have her drama debut.

Jeon Boram plays the role of a 19-year-old Woo AhMi in the drama special. Other stars featured in the drama include Jeon HyeBin and musical actor Jung SeongHwa. The drama is set for airing on 7th August.

T-ara Qri plays a love stalker in upcoming drama ‘The State of South Korean Trader Kim Cheol-Soo’

T-ara member Qri transforms as a stalker.

On KBS 2TV drama special ‘The State of South Korean Trader Kim Cheol-Soo’ to be aired from 31st July, Qri will be acting alongside actor Oh ManSeok.

The drama is a comical thriller about how a stock trader and South Korean spy Kim Cheol-su tries to accomplish his mission. And in the drama, Qri plays a barista working at a cafe which CheolSoo visits everyday, and she is a stalker who is in a one-sided love with him.
