u all shldn’t like given bad comments towards dara. The other 3 of them bascially alrdy have those deep R&B voices so dara sounded very diff from them as if she’s the worst singing member. In my opinion, dara have more of those sweet ballad singing voice, which is why she get lesser singing parts then the others. song writers usually choose suitable voices for the suitable parts =)
oh c’mon. give dara some credits. at least she sings better then sohee *roll eyes* and i think bom, CL and minzy are american borned korean whereas dara picked up english when she was in philippines (can someone verify this info?) that’s why their english are fluent? in anycase their live performance is jang!

2NE1 FIGHTING
I think I have to be the only one here who wasnt crazy about their rendition of Umbrella. I think they were all trying too hard in that song and they sound so unnatural.
Secondly, I’m probably also the only person here who’s not crazy about CL. Honestly, i dont like her. I think the whole channeling-GD-thing is annoying, and her voice is… idk, really annoying to me too.
That being said, I did like We Belong Together and I shadnt judge Fire (cause i hate that song anyway whatever) Props to Minzy and Bom for performing really well.
Thirdly, I’m probably also the only person here who likes Dara best. Idk, I honestly think out of the 4 of them, she’s the most natural. She’s genuinely having fun and I honestly think her voice is pretty (because she doesnt try too hard and strain it) True she could use more work on her vocals to par up to Bom, but I think the tone of her voice is the prettiest. She actually sounds young and fresh.

Umm, that’s not true actually cause i’m not a big fan of the other girl groups e.g. wonder girls/snsd/kara.
To me, natural talent is the most important, which is why if i had to pick a “favourite” among these three groups above, i would pick snsd simply for the fact that they can actually sing LIVE. Imo, the other two groups just really can’t. I dont really care about the whole cuteness/girliness/prettiness factor. It’s more about the talent for me.
Just to clear things up, IMO Dara’s voice is the most pleasant to listen to cause it’s fresh and sweet; but I know that Bom is the powerhouse among all of them and Minzy can sing really well too.

CL’s rapping totally resembled Jay-Z’s in Umbrella. And at some point during her singing I thought she sounded like Riri.
Minji, I’m totally surprised with this girl, only 15 and considering she’s the rapper of the group [since those people are notorious for their lack of singing voices], her vocals are actually good. Almost at par with her unnies.
Bom, Idk why, but every time I look at her, her face is goddamn stiff. Lack of facial expressions compared to the other three. But her voice is of no doubt superb. I think she’s getting used to it.
Sandara, now IDGAF to what everyone else is saying, her voice is undeniably lacking and subpar compared to the others. At least she’s not out of tune, that much I can credit for her, but her singing is just okay. That’s it. Okay. There’s no extra ‘ooomph’ in it, her voice is just so common it’s not at the ‘idol singer’ level. If voices like hers are considered as singers then we’re going to have at least a gazillion billion million people as singers too.
Well at least girl sings better than Hara or Sohee at least. And she’s pretty lively and can dance.
hehe, I think that’s why Mr. yang didn’t let her go solo :). But anyway, I love her to be one part of 2NE1. I really like their diversity ๐
they all look so much more relaxed here. even bom’s letting loose and having fun. i like CL with this sort of face better – less makeup, more natural, more her!

to me, dara looks very confident in her singing. her voice just doesn’t project as much as the other girls. her singing is pretty good! she’s just veryy soft. minji IMPRESSED me with her singing voice <3333 loved it! and their english, it was rlyy good! you cannot say it was nott good, considering it's not their first language. i love their voices, love how they don't try to make it sound, you know 'cute', they embrace their low tones.
they are definitely a group to look out for. they are really talented for a rookie group. i like sandara the best cause she looks really cute and through all the other broadcast and news of her, she is a crazy, down-to-earth girl. i love all of them though. they can defintely be one of the best in the future and will support them to the end ^^
i think dara needs a slap of confidence… c’mon she really improved… why doesn’t she show it that much… she sings too timid… i feel bad for her… maybe she don’t feel confident in singing because of all the criticisms she received.. if only those people know what she had gone through.. arg… goh dara!!!

I liked it.their english wasn’t bad at all.for me, I like all 4 of them in the group b/c I notice that w/out dara, the other 3 would be less comfortable w/ each other. I just hope she works on her singing more, although she wasn’t too bad here.
dara needs more work. she sounds very child like singing bom’s part…maybe cause bom has very strong vocals.
CL did a good job and so did MINZY. minzy’s charisma is growing on me.
BOM still looks very nervous…she keeps looking at the other members when she sings…i guess for comfort? but yeah she should work on being more confident…cause i think that’ll help her out.

Sandara sounded a bit off on her second part on FIRE. Guess she’s still improving. The group would’ve been better if its only 3 of them. I like Dara’s acting ability. I think she only fits a cute girl concept.
Haha, Sandara did pretty well. I just wish I didn’t have to hear from everybody in the world that her voice wasn’t that good (before this).
Minji has great singing abilities. It’s different from Bom’s style, which is good. ๐

It sounds okay. It was sort of iffy… like they are pushing the vibrato to come out. I expected more from Bom cause I heard her covers of Rihanna’s song and she sounds much better than the original. Sort of a disappointment.
