  1. i just find it weird.in korea stars become singers/idol groups not to earn money but just to fulfill their dreams? in every country singers actors and actresses becomes those so that they can also earn money it is like a work to them and they can earn millions and they spend it on things they like travel, shopping, food, houses, cars. but in korea it’s as if they are stuck in their dorms practicing always never get to travel. i havent heard of any singers/idol group in korea that they would say in an interview “i bought a car, house etc”. it’s as if they earn little and work so hard

    • i’ve read about a few, like hankyung sending his parents money for a dumpling store, as well as sunye buying an apartment for her grandma/dad, or kim hyun joong’s chicken store and numerous investments.

but i think one of the reasons we don’t hear as much is because these idols are still too young that their parents are usually the ones handling their money for them. they also started training at a very young age, and were most likely taught about the value of money among other things. they starting out with nothing (even have debts to their companies), having to work their butts off to earn.

also korea’s music industry isn’t as big as the US or Japan, so only a select few get to earn the big bucks.

  2. She has coordis bringing in her clothes and the company feeding her. She doesn’t really need to spend a lot anyways.. or so I think..

  3. I think that even in KARA Bakery, she opted to take a mortgage (with collateral) instead of a loan. I don’t really know whether that was scripted or not, but for sure, her choice of a mortgage really told me she wasn’t into big risk (even if it was for a show with a big financial cushion for the stars).

Good for her, though! I really think saving is especially important for these stars as their income is largely variable throughout their entertainment careers!

  4. I can’t control my spending like her ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

  5. hahha, its ok ๐Ÿ˜‰ and how about Kara Bakery?
