The aftermath of group 2PM member JaeBum‘s leaving of the group, after criticisms of his offending messages posted up on his MySpace page before debut, keeps growing.
For one, a 2PM fansite Underground has issued a boycott against JYP Entertainment on 10th September at 9am.
UnderGround members are very unhappy with the fact that JYP is doing nothing when their singer JaeBum, leader of 2PM, leaves the group and even went as far as going out of the country.
With that UnderGround has come up with a boycott against the ticket sales to the ‘2009 Dream Concert’ which will take place next month.
They also talked about their stand regarding other 2PM’s albums and merchandizes. They will start boycotting purchase of albums released by 2PM.
UnderGround also stated that they will not support and boycott any event or advertisement, product endorsement by 2PM without JaeBum back in the group.
They have stated that they will continue with this status until 2PM is a whole group again. And they also stated that what they are doing is for the sake of the group.
Meanwhile, JaeBum has left 2PM and also Korea on 8th September, 4 days after the backlashes from the revelation of his pre-debut messages posted on MySpace.

Jay’s departure is sad yes. But if they’re truly fans of 2PM, they’ll still support the rest of the guys. 2 PM is not equal to Jay. They’re a group. It’s unfair to the rest of the boys who worked just as hard to be boycotted. Jay’s decision was made and we have to respect it. No amount of boycotting will make him come back if he’s not ready yet.
Personally, I can understand JYP backing off the issue. It’s his company at stake and above all he’s thinking of the good of everyone in their company. Plus, I think he talked to Jay too and did not summarily dismissed him. They could have weathered it together I suppose but Jay thought of 2PM and the heat that they’ll be getting so he made the sacrifice. I think everything happens for a reason. It’s not JYP’s fault for letting him leave. Didn’t they read his statements? He allowed Jay to leave because he loved Jay as much as we do. He allowed Jay to leave because he knew he couldn’t hold him back and that Jay needed time off for himself.
I think it’s unfair to boycott 2pm just because of this. Hottests love 2PM and not JAY alone. If Jay had the intentions to leave because he didn’t want to be a burden, then we should respect that and continue to support the rest of the members. Jay would have wanted us to continue to support the other members even when he’s gone.
I know 2pm is not 2pm without Jay, but it was Jay’s wish to leave. We need to learn to respect that even though we still can’t bear to let him go.
I will wait. But I won’t boycott. Boycotting is equivalent to those low life anti fans. Boycotting shows that you’re now an anti fan of JYPE, as well as 2PM.
