Dong Bang Shin Ki and Big Bang to attend VMAJ 2009

Korea’s biggest idol groups Dong Bang Shin Ki and Big Bang will be attending one of Japan’s biggest music awards ceremony.

They will be attending ‘Video Music Awards Japan (VMAJ) 2009’ on 30th May in Japan Saitama Super Arena.

‘VMAJ’ is one of Japan’s biggest music awards that not only awards Japanese local singers but also international singers. Even world-known pop stars like Michael Jackson, Mariah Carey and Ne-Yo had received invitations to the award ceremony.

Group Dong Bang Shin Ki, who is currently active in Japan, is nominated for ‘Best Group Video’ with their hit song ‘MIROTIC’, up against 4 other Japanese teams including EXILE .

Group Big Bang has also be invited to attend the award ceremony. YG Entertainment announced on the 15th that chances that Big Bang will attend the awards ceremony are high. And they will also probably be having a performance slot during the award ceremony.

Already on the 15th, Big Bang‘s photo have been posted up together with other stars like WWE star Big Show on VMAJ 2009 official site.

‘Super Junior Subway’ event in Taiwan

From 17th April, to commemorate Super Junior‘s 3rd album ‘Sorry Sorry’ release in Taiwan, 51 subways in Taiwan Taipei city will have Super Junior‘s posters posted up inside the subway cabins. The event will last for 3 weeks until 7th May.

For one of the subway trains, in the front cabins will have Super Junior‘s posters posted all around inside, and will be called the ‘Super Junior Subway’.

There will also be a ‘Photoshooting with Super Junior‘ where fans can take photos with Super Junior‘s posters as the background for this event. All pointing to Super Junior‘s rising popularity in Taiwan.

Super Junior said, “We are very excited that Super Junior’s 3rd album will be released in Taiwan. We hope that the album as well as the poster event will gain good responses.”

After Fly To The Sky’s disband, Brian to have big-screen debut

Male duo Fly To The Sky has ended their 10 years long of activities together on 12th April with their last performance at SBS Inkigayo.

Members Brian Joo and HwanHee will focus on their individual activities from now. Hwanhee will focus on his solo singing while Brian will take on the preparations for his upcoming movie. He is currently taking acting lessons.

He will head for America in May to start filming for his big-screen debut in June.

    By the way, Tohoshinki has an Arena Tour (4th Live Tour:The Secret Code) scheduled in FUKUOKA on the same day (May 30, Sat) at 1800. Thus, I doubt that they will be able to attend.

    Last year, when they won BEST COLLABORATION VIDEO with Koda Kumi, they were not also able to attend. The only time they attended was in 2007 when they won BEST BUZZ ASIA in KOREA for ‘”O”.
