There has been great concern in Korea after news went out that Dong Bang Shin Ki trio Micky YooChun, Hero JaeJoong and Xiah JunSu had left their Japanese agency.
The news came directly from the trio’s Japanese agency AVEX Trax on 16th September, announcing the temporal suspension of the trio’s Japanese activities. With that on 17th September, the trio’s representative responded on 17th September that the report is an one-sided report from AVEX Trax and have posed the trio with adverse conditions.
Even though this is for the trio’s Japanese activities, there has been great interests coming from Korea’s side as well. This is because currently, we are looking at the ‘new hallyu’ by singers who are promoting in Japanese currently like Big Bang, Supernova, KARA, So Nyeo Shi Dae etc.
The OST song ‘Found’ featuring Dong Bang Shin Ki members Hero JaeJoong, Xiah JunSu and Micky YooChun for new drama KBS ‘SungKyunKwan Scandal’ was revealed on the show’s 1st episode airing on 30th August.
The OST to the drama also includes the solo songs by Hero and Xiah. Love it or not?
Dong Bang Shin Ki Hero JaeJoong and Xiah JunSu will come together for fellow member Micky YooChun to participate in the OST of Micky’s upcoming drama ‘SungKyunKwan Scandal’.
It is known that Hero JaeJoong and Xiah JunSu have each recorded a solo song for the OST, and the 3 of them including Micky YooChun will record the song ‘Found’. The song ‘Found’ is a love theme for the drama and will be aired from the 1st episode of the drama.
Hero said, “The production seems like a fun one, and I got a feeling that the drama will be daebak. The OST is as good as the drama.”
Xiah also added, “YooChun looked better in traditional Hanbok than I’ve expected him to look. His acting is very natural and I like it. As for the song, I also worked on it with excitement found after so long. I want to do all that I can which will be of help to YooChun.”
A day ahead of her comeback, singer BoA reveals a photo taken together with junior from same agency Dong Bang Shin Ki UKnow YunHo.
BoA posted on her Twitter on 5th August a photo of her leaning on UKnow’s shoulder and wrote, “The face I met and is happy to meet at the company – soccer king Yoon-dol ah!! I’m tired from practice for my first broadcast performance… Yoon-dol will start practising fromㅋㅋ Have strength Yoon-dol ah^^”
Meanwhile, BoA will have her comeback stage on KBS Music Bank on 6th August with the song ‘Hurricane Venus’.
Dong Bang Shin Ki UKnow YunHo and Max ChangMin will appear on stage together after so long.
The 2 will appear for SMTown Concert on 21st August. It has been a while seeing the 2 on stage since part of the group members were fighting a lawsuit against their agency SM Entertainment.
According to a SM rep on 5th August, “UKnow and Max has prepared a performance just for SMTown Live. SHINee Key will also have a joint stage with BoA. And sisters So Nyeo Shi Dae Jessica and f(x) Krystal; together with So Nyeo Shi Dae SeoHyun and Super Junior KyuHyun will have duet performances.”
SM Entertainment filed a lawsuit against CEO Kang of cosmetic company We# Plus to the Seoul District Courts for libel, defamation of character and impediment of performance.
SM Entertainment revealed that, “CEO Kang of We# Plus filed a defamation of character and impediment of performance lawsuit against SM CEO Kim Young Min which was denied on May 31st,” and “We have found out that We# Plus has sued TVXQ fans so we decided to file this lawsuit to stop any more damages from occurring.”
There has been opinion forming amongst netizens that Dong Bang Shin Ki Micky YooChun’s manager have been acting very violently towards fans. And the police is currently looking into it.
A netizen has posted on an online forum about Micky YooChun manager’s violent behaviour. And under the post is the heated debate amongst netizens on the case. The netizen wrote about how his/her younger sibling have been treated violently by Micky YooChun’s manager, including suffering slaps and hits. The netizen also attached captures from a CCTV video which shows the violent act.
Super Junior ex-member HanKyung gets involved in plagiarism accusations.
HanKyung recently released a new song ‘Fire’ in China and the song has been slammed with plagiarism accusation. Currently, HanKyung had left Super Junior and is promoting solo.
Some netizens pointed out that the song sound very similar to Dong Bang Shin Ki’s song ‘Checkmate’ released by UKnow YunHo in a concert in February 2009. The song ‘Checkmate’ is said to be written and composed by UKnow YunHo and it has received positive reviews even though it was not performed on broadcast.
Netizens comment, “Does he have no conscious plagiarising and promoting the song in China?”, “I don’t know about others, but the interlude sounds the same”, “I think he needs to apologise officially about the plagiarism” etc.
