Another Korean entertainer’s death for year 2008 – M.Street Lee Seo Hyun

After artistes like U-Nee, Turtleman, Monday Kiz Kim Min Soo, Lee Eon, Ahn Jae Hwan and Choi Jin Shil, another piece of news of the suicidal death of Korean artiste surfaced.

It has been reported that leader of 5-member group M.Street Lee Seo Hyun (30) has committed suicide and passed away.

He was found on 1st December at 4.40pm in the practise studio located in Seoul YangJaeDong. He had hung himself and a death letter was also found together with his body.

Goodbye Turtleman, Goodbye Turtles

3-member group Turtles‘ official declaration of the dissolution of the band was held on 4th September. And the remaining member Geum Bi and Ji Ah was seen in tears at the declaration ceremony.

Turtles debuted in 2001 and member Turtleman passed away in April 2008. The last album they released was their 5th album and the last single they promoted together was “Sing Lala”.

The absence of the late Turtleman felt so strongly at the conference that day, the 2 other members were in tears.

Geum Bi and Ji Ah said, ” The name Turtles started out with oppa’s name ‘Turtleman‘. Now with oppa gone, there is no more meaning to Turtles anymore.”

SG Wannabe first Japanese single ranked #9 position on Oricon Chart

SG Wannabe was ranked #9 on Oricon Daily Singles Chart.

SG Wannabe released their first Japanese single ‘Get Along Together’ on 20th August and it was ranked #9 on the chart on the same day.

The #1 position for that day was occupied by group Arashi with the single ‘truth/風の向こうへ ‘.

‘Get Along Together’ was a remake of the 1993 song by songwriter Yamane Yasuhiro.

Album of Turtleman’s posthumous works released

30,000 copies to Turtles‘ special album collecting all the unreleased works of Turtleman before his death were released on 22nd August.

The album was title “Stories that could not be completed” and will include 13 songs that were the posthumous work of Turtleman Im Seong Hoon who passed away in April. The title song to the album is “Oe Ggae Jjwuak”.

Actor Lee Eon passed away in motorbike accident

Model cum talent Lee Eon (27, Park Sang Min) died in a motorbike accident on 21st August.

He was going home on a motorbike on the morning of 21st August, and his motorbike ran into a guard rail in Seoul HanNamDong, causing him to fall off his bike.

He was sent to the hospital immediately after the accident, but he already has not pulse. It is still unclear if he had alcoholic drink before the accident. The examination report into the accident will only come out in a week’s time.

The actors to Lee Eon‘s latest drama “Choi Gang Chil Woo” like Eric and Goo Hye Sung went to Lee Eon‘s mortuary after knowing the news. Lee Eon‘s parents also rushed down to Seoul from Busan after knowing the unfateful news. Lee Eon was the only child in the family.

His mother said at 9am this morning at the mortuary that she still cannot believe that her only son has passed away.

Fans are also in shock of the suddent news. There has been a lot of cases of young and healthy entertainers passing away ever since the start of this year.

Netizens said, “I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw the news in the morning. I am still in shock of the news. I hope he went to a better place, and I wish him all the best.”

While the producer to the drama “Coffee Prince” said that he was shocked with the news, and that Lee Eon was a good person.

Fans are coming together, calling for condolence on his minihompy.
