Rain has been chosen as the best Hallyu star in Vietnam.
According to KBS on 16th February, Rain has been voted #1 by Vietnamese viewers in a survey done through KBS’s international broadcasting in Vietnam.
The survey was done from last December all the way till end of January on KBS World’s homepage to Vietnamese viewers on the best Hallyu star in Vietnam. A total of 386 viewers took part in the survey.
Rain was voted #1 with 46 votes, and So Nyeo Shi Dae follows behind at #2 with 26 votes.

I’m saying that this survey isn’t exactly, DBSK and SuJu definitely have more fans than SNSD.
DBSK has antifans, every group has antifans. But SNSD has the largest number of antifan.

I think this survey can’t say anything about the favourite idols in viet nam.SNSN have many fan in viet nam but they have more antifans .this survey don’t attract many kpop fans in viet nam

Yes..I agree. Most of the asian country doesnt know kpop. They are more to k drama. Rain is popular in vietnam coz of full house not because of his music.

Having a lot of fans doesn’t mean they are popular. For example, there might be more ELF but Super Junior will never be more popular than Rain lol.
Anyway, even if a few people voted, lately, I’m surprised to see that SNSD is so well known in Vietnam. Their MV surpassed 7 millions views recently and they have tons of fans there. Great achievements !

It’s a survey. But there’s no denying that SNSD is popular in vietnam. Remember when SNSD went to Vietnam, and were met with thousands of screaming fans-and one girl ran up to Jessica and hugged her. lol
The reason that girl was able to do that, is because there was not enough security, since they didn’t think they were gonna be a big draw.
I agree that SNSD is nowhere near DBSK’s status, but again, this is only a survey done by certain groups.
LOOl my cousin Linh aka Annie which has just recently moved to vancouver from haiphong, vietnam told me KPOP isn’t as big in Vietnam as before lile during Se7en’s passion days or 1tym’s or dbsk’s tri-angle days
When I asked her which new groups she likes she said only 2ne1 and bigbang although … But only thing is she doesn’t know the members names
^ Well, i don’t know about haiphong but when SNSD came to Hanoi for VN-Kr friendship festival, I even met many primary school kids came to see them [came with their sis/bro of course] and i saw many adults, too. My cousins, one is in 6th grade and one is in 4th grade can tell you all the names of Kpop groups even the newest ones.
I think in VN now Kpop is the most popular among other music.
