FT Island ‘Love Love Love’ up #1 on Monkey3 weekly chart just 1 week into comeback

FT Island is up #1 on music site Monkey3 weekly chart just 1 week into their comeback.

Their comeback song ‘Love Love Love’ is up #1 on Monkey3 weekly chart for the 1st week of September (30th August~5th September). At #2 is SISTAR with the song ‘Shady Girl’ which has been climbing steadily up the top 10 rankings since it first entered the charts.

And at #3 is WheeSung with the song ‘I Even Thought of Marriage’ which jumped from #20 to #3 for this week.

Today on KBS Music Bank, singer BoA wins her 3rd consecutive #1 on the show’s chart with her comeback title song ‘Hurricane Venus’.

Set for American debut, WheeSung “They asked my mother if I’m a black”

Ahead of his American market advance this earlier half of the year, singer WheeSung talks about his thoughts on it. He was on KBS 2TV ‘Talk Show Rock’ recently when he said it.

After singers like Rain, Se7en, BoA and Kim YoonJin, WheeSung is planning to advance into the American market the early half of this year. And he is working with famous producer Rodney Jerkins, it is known that they have completed a few tracks and even the recording for the songs have completed.

He said, “After the impromptu interview I had, the producer liked my voice very much that he even asked my mother if I’m black. And Rodney Jerkins who were a bit doubtful at first, went on to talk about the plans for producing after hearing me sing.”

WheeSung, “I thought of quitting as a singer before I released my 6th album”

WheeSung confesses that he had considered retiring as a singer before releasing his 6th album.

WheeSung was featured on SBSE!TV ‘Live Section’ on 6th March recently for an interview where he said, “Before I released 6th album ‘Vocolate’, I thought of quitting from the music industry.”

“I don’t acknowledge the diversity of the mass arts in Korea. It is still a culture of *ddan-dda-ra. I hope that the cultural background will be focused more on artistes instead of ddan-dda-ra. I regretted not saying what’s in my heart.”
